@iPuma555 you have to get a 3.5mm male to male headphone jack and connect one end to your computer and the other end to the back of your magic box / router. It kind of defeats the purpose of wireless but its cool. I wish I could post a pic of what it looks like but the url is too long. Just go to google images and type it in.
I just ordered a set from amazon new for $120. I needed a wireless set cuz i couldn't stand the wires on my turtle beach px21 set and i didn't wanna pay $220 for turtle beach px5's. Does anyone know if the sound quality is as good as turtle beach stereo? (i haven't gotten them yet)

I got this for free new, it is awsome! Clear sound, awsome for gaming. I had a expensive Motorola bluetooth but you can't compare it! I hear voices clearer. I'm glad I didn't pay for it because I'm not that crazy of a gamer to spend $120 for a headset I only use on the weekends!

@MrYeeeaaa They're stero not surround sound, but they are definitely worth the money... trust me i thought otherwise but you can really enjoy your game with this.

@doritoman67 Having worked for the company I got inside knowlege about the headset this one is an update of. Each ear cup has five speakers in them. One in the very front of each cup to act as a center. One at the bottom of each cup for a sub woofer, two in the upper middle of the cup the fronts for for front left/right and the rears for side speakers, and one in the back for rear left/right allowing them to create an exclusive 7.2 surround sound system. Stereo is only 2 speakers, not ten.
@doritoman67 Same technology as the G35. Sadly though the G35 is actually misrepresented. The training model at our center was supposed to be 7.1 but actually tested out as 7.2. The way the Subwoofers are positioned in the cups makes them sound like two speakers unlike the two front "center" speakers. The problem with this style is that the swivels tend to break though, not sure if it was just a problem with the early headsets or with people abusing them so be careful if you get a set.
@sypoth oh thanks, i saw a great deal on the website that these are $112 right now and i will be very careful with these...i considered the G930 but they are not compatible with the consoles which i like to use multisystems. I think these are worth it for now but when they go back to the original price...I think these seem pretty sturdy but im not taking any chances with breaking them like i did to my Vantage USB also by Logitech. Since they are similar to the G35, would you choose this or G35?

Only problem I can see is that it's not totally wireless. There's still a wire running from the headset to the Xbox 360 controller. Doesn't interfere with their marketing, but for someone that uses a wired controller (like me), that's kind of an issue. What if I want to grab a drink and keep talking to my friends? I have to switch controllers or just not talk to them. If I'm misinformed, I'd love to be proven wrong.

Sadly, yes. I don't quite understand why they can't just connect the same way as the Xbox 360 Wireless Headset. Or in the case of a PS3 setup, a bluetooth headset.
@EphraimJWitchwood The Xbox 360 wireless setup is definitely possible. Main reason companies aren't doing that is probably because of the cost of doing so. As for Bluetooth, too much power consumption? lol, dunno. I'm pretty sure either alternative will raise the cost.
Why would anyone buy these when they could get the G930 for 10 bucks more? Doesn't make sense.
This headset does not have 7.1 (or 5.1) surround or G-keys like both the G35 (wired) and G930 (wireless) do. The only advantage seems to be that you can connect it to several different audio sources. I'm sure that's very useful to someone out there, but I'd pick the surround any day.
@omgz0rtbh you cannot connect the g930 to an xbox 360... they are made specifically for pc gaming. i thought the same thing until i did a little bit more research...
@omgz0rtbh the f540 is used for consoles. i dont know of any way to convert the audio for the g930 to use it on a console otherwise i would get it in a heartbeat.

I've wanted a multi-system headset for years now. The F540 looks great but the lack of surround sound is a deal breaker for me. I would have paid $10 to $20 more for the 7.1 that the G930 supports. It's too bad really because it looks like Logitech put some cool ideas into this headset. For now I'll stick with my Turtle Beach X41s and my Sony PS3 Bluetooth. I'll be looking forward to the next version of this headset.
@Snorky151 I'm not sure what you mean by "cuz consoles only support 5.1" My Turtle Beach X41s are a 7.1 wireless headset and the surround sound is brilliant on my 360 even though the 360 doesn't support 7.1. I also use my X41 to line-in non-surround stereo sound from my PS3 but of course it doesn't support chat directly. Thankfully there are a couple work arounds for PS3 chat.

magnets or a power block or LED / Neon / cold cathode lights , might cause a buzz or humming noise.
try to keep those far away from receiver and headset.
also try a different USB port.
and /or disconnect other USB devices to exclude them as the problem.
also check the Logitech support site for common problems and answers.

check also if the console needs a firewall port to be opened for the headset data.
i know my xbox 360 has those firewall ports.
i did login to my modem and opened a few ports to the xbox360 IP adres.
make sure to give your console a network name in the network settings menu of the console..
so that the modem/router can see the device.
and switch on Dynamic IP, DHCP and Plug and Play (PnP) in any Router that is connected in between.

Its for pc , tv , xbox , ps3
it uses 3.5mm and RCA cables to get audio sound .
Since HDMI produce video and sound but this is a headset not a television..

I've wanted a multi-system headset for years now. The F540 looks great but the lack of surround sound is a deal breaker for me. I would have paid $10 to $20 more for the 7.1 that the G930 supports. It's too bad really because it looks like Logitech put some cool ideas into this headset. For now I'll stick with my Turtle Beach X41s and my Sony PS3 Bluetooth. I'll be looking forward to the next version of this headset.

in fact if u use g930 on console u will just hear the chat voices in your headset.
atm f540 is the best for consoles, enjoy it cuz it's the best.

@Snorky151 I'm not sure what you mean by "cuz consoles only support 5.1" My Turtle Beach X41s are a 7.1 wireless headset and the surround sound is brilliant on my 360 even though the 360 doesn't support 7.1. I also use my X41 to line-in non-surround stereo sound from my PS3 but of course it doesn't support chat directly. Thankfully there are a couple work arounds for PS3 chat.
