  • Very helpful thank you!! I'm a complete idiot and went to the site and thought, "Oh, $24, that's not so bad." Then I realized it was in pounds:/ But like you said, this will last a good 10 years so its worth the ~$40.

  • Great vid!!!!

  • i love using this brush!!

  • omg your amazing

and ur so awesome my mom dosent let me wear make up so theres no point of getting brushes....loool but ILY!! ♥♥♥

  • do you have a brush collection video? If not, please do.

    gay,straight,bi,trans your still human.

    spread love not hate.

  • LOVE your videos!

  • Lauren luke sells it a lot cheaper

  • MICHAEL CAN U PLS COMPARE THIS TO THE STILA ONE STEP COMPLEXION 33 BRUSH :):)

  • @rustybobbbypins Great idea. I can say immediately that the stila brush is much smaller and not as soft and airbrush-y as the LY brush. They are quite different. Thanks for asking :)

  • Great tutorial! Your camera is the best! It's like - you're sitting right in front of me:)

  • hey michael. have you tried the glamcor contour brush? if so, how does it compare? the shape seems awfully similar. also with high reviews. :P

  • i love you now! <3<3<3 more videos! ;)

  • Can this brush be used for powder foundation?

  • what do you use on your teeth...they're gorgeuos

  • Can you use this brush with the MAC Pro Longwear? What about a stick foundation?

  • Smart and pretty-- sooo not fair

  • Have you ever tried the Coco Beau Big, Fat, Firm Foundation brush? I am intrigued by it and the LY34. Just not sure which one to buy. I generally use tinted moisturizers and compact cream foundations (I use the Sigma F80 to stipple the cream ones). Your advice is appreciated.

  • what are you wearing on your skin...you should write that at the bottom of every upload! I mean like cosmetics wise :)

  • what are you wearing on your skin...you should write that at the bottom of every upload!

  • @g123xqwert Nice idea :) I will start doing this more often :) Thanks!! -Michael

  • hehe nebulous... ur so so pretty

  • I have this brush, but I rarely use it. I really wanted to love it, but I don't. For my brush, I wish there were more hairs. It kinda flap around. I prefer to use MAC 109 or 187.

  • You sound like a politician.

  • you skin is sooo ... glowy <3

  • Oh no! I just bought a Bobbi Brown foundation brush on Ebay:(

  • Could you do a video comparing how it holds up against other blush brushes if you were to use it as a blush brush? I love how it claims to be multifaceted and would like to see how it compares to other blush brushes and powder brushes and if it can indeed be used for all those purposes.

  • sweety if you have the three Nars artisan brushes, the two Itas and the yachyio. I would love it if u would do a review. Im looking to buy one or maybe both of the Ita brushes but i can't find a video of what the difference is bet. the two anywhere on youtube. Please if you have them both, id love to know your opinon on them. I do have the awesome Botan, and got it after seeing your review.

  • @Puddycat11385 He does have videos up reviewing some of the artisan brushes.

  • I love how you say "twenty four and a half" pounds!

  • Ilove your videos so much. I'm an 18 year old girl but I get better makeup advice from you than I have women! You are such a beauty thought-leader.

  • do you have any experience with the hourglass foundation brush? if so, how does this one compare? thanks!

long time watcher of your vids. favorite guru by far!

  • Nebulous....love it!

  • @XthickmadameX Hehehe :) Thanks!! Thanks for watching! -Michael

  • @TheSublimeAgent it worked! YAY :D

  • love your channel!!

  • I would love to know how this would compare to Becca's, shame you don't have it. I am stuck between which one to buy! I am so glad I discovered your channel, your great! I'm from England :) KK x

  • Hi this is the first video I've watched, I subscribed after JuicyTuesday recommended, I liked the video... Love from Mexico!

  • Would love to hear your recommendations for best synthetic or cruelty free brushes.

  • can you do a video applying your cover fx foundation? thank you

  • Since the louis young website is in euros.. how do you change it to US dollars?

  • Since you wouldn't recommend this as a starters "first all purpose brush" what would you recommend?

  • I enjoy your videos! Would you do a review on Cover FX foundation as I noticed you mentioned it in this vdeo. Thanks!

  • I have both the hourglass and the LY and i much prefer the LY!!

  • I watch your videos because

    1) I like learning about beauty

    2) I like learning new words xD hahahaha

    nebulous!

  • Actually, now that I think about this brush isn't even as expensive as my Mac 187 was, and I would totally rather have this brush instead. The 187 is SO tired! Lol.

  • UGH. I've wanted this Brush forever. Since i saw Pixiwoo use it. It costs an arm and a leg tho, especially to get shipped here. Wahhhhh ;[ hahah.

    Lookin' good hot stuff ;]

  • i have the cover fx pointed one- best thing i ever bought- its my favvvvvvv. what do you like about the cover fx powder- i have it and i am still out on it- cant really see how it is to differnt than a mineral veil- but maybe i am missing something- x shelly

  • A1! As always!! Thanks :-)

  • Hey Michael, you should do more videos for us straight guys! I don't use make up at all... I loved your clothing videos do more! :D

  • Hello Michael, I rather appreciate that you showed us from beginning to end how you concealed the blemishes and that you, like most of us, do not have perfect skin 100% of the time! :-) I appreciated the demo and learned a lot about technique. I gotta smile when I say that it was almost like watching a "magic show" how you made the blemish disappear (music, hand gestures), it was all very David Copperfieldish! :-) Great job! You have amazing skin! :-) thank you!

  • Thank you for introducing me to the brand! What is your recommendation on cleaning foundation brushes, especially ones that are thick like this one?

  • Oooh Louise Young..I've been meaning to check that bitch out...

    ~sP

  • I just adore you :) always dishing out perfect videos.

  • I love your choice of words, you really are spot-on with this one. Louise Young is a wonderful makeup artist and really charming person too, the customer service is brilliant and I would not be without my LY34 either! You are so right, it does work better with runny foundations, that is exactly it. Great review x

  • Ciao Michael...

This brush looks amazing, and seems to apply your foundation like a dream. Love it!!

I also sent you a request to follow you on Twitter as well... I hope that is ok.

Anyway.. wishing you a really great day.

    Hugs & Kisses

    Love

    Shelley

    xXx

  • This video quality is fantastic!!

  • how is it compared to mac 109?

  • Love the review Michael and I own this brush and it is the best !! How do you like your Coco Beau Brush ? I really like mine I was just wondering what you thought about it ? Also I have a brush you might want and I would not mind sending it to you if you just want to send me a message on here :)) Susie~ P.S it is a Hakuhodo brush

  • u look very scripted planned and artificial in your vids, lay back a little lol

  • The customer service with Louise Young is increduble. Michael they sent me two brushes to replace the one I sent you in our swap. How cool is that???? If you apply your moisturiser or primer with the brush first it won't soak up as much foundation. How'sthat for a handy hint ;)

  • I am getting ready to order the Coco Beau (big, fat, firm) foundation brush, how does this compare to it?

  • I have to agree. This brush is THE BOMB!!!!

  • Hi Michael--I have the Sephora airbrush makeup brush and I really love it. I may have to try this one too. Have you tried any of the Real Techniques brushes by Sam of Pixiwoo? I've bought several of them and they are so soft and absolutely no shedding so far--I really like them. Thanks for the review.

    Sue

  • LY brushes are TDF.

I wish they would be a bit more accessible.

    TY

  • Wow, this is soo informative!!

I love this, so im def going to be checking this out!!

    <3

  • That Cover FX one is divine. I use it for under eye. I've been eyeing LY...still deciding.

  • Love your hair in this video

  • I've heard such amazing things about the LY brushes but I have yet to dabble....one of these day....lol ;-)

  • Wonderful review...as always. Thank you.

  • I've been keeping an eye on this line for a while, pixiwoo uses them and i DROOL over them i'm like... idk and i'm glad you're doing these videos and going so in depth cause they really are tremendous... -ly good looking and GOOD quality brushes... i need some- thanks again for the vid

  • Sephora has a brush similar to this

  • @pdxbeautiful its not as dense..the sephora one is really flimsy, the louisse young one kicks its butt:)

  • I have totally been coveting this brush for some time......now I want it even more.....lol!

  • Iza gonna get me one of those!! Thanks for another great vid, luvd it...

  • The world's best foundation brush - yes, but only until you use the BIG, FAT, FIRM FOUNDATION BRUSH from COCO BEAU. Louise Young brushes are great but that one is beyond comparison. Try it out Michael, you will love it! The one from Coco Beau is definitely a 'must have' for every brush collector! Love your videos

  • I completely agree, Michael! The LY34 brush is the finest I have ever used. I never use another brush with liquid foundations. Their customer service is beyond compare. I also highly recommend their "socket" brush.

  • Hi Michael, thanks for showing the brush up close! I've checked out her brushes on the website but couldn't get a close enough look to actually buy. Thanks for the nice review. :)

  • I bought this brush some time ago and have had trouble finding a use for it. I feel like it does absorb a lot of foundation like you said, but have not yet tried it with my MUFE Face & Body. I'll have to give that a go! The YouTuber that 1st brought this brush to my attention recommended it for mineral makeup but I don't like it for that. So happy for your review as I just love the way this brush is made and how it feels on the skin. I'd be very happy to finally have a use for it. Thanks!

  • "Cognisant", "reproach", "nebulous", "in that similar vein"...thank you for having a REAL vocabulary! xx

  • wow you look so flawless in this video! your skin is just glowing, looks so healthy!

  • Several of the LY brushes are on my Birthday wish list this year. Another professional, well articulated and informational video Micheal. I so enjoy watching and listening to you. oxo

  • Awesome review considering I actually have a hard time getting the look with a foundation brush! I just apprecaite all the time you put into editing your video's! Perfection!

  • Ooh it looks lovely, thanks for sharing. I love how you can put a video inside a video, make it smaller and put links, just fab stuff and I for one appreciate the effort that goes into all these details, oh and the cost of all your equipment. Next step up moving making! ;-) x

  • Nice review, Michael ... thank you! I just got the Coco Beau Big Fat Foundation Brush - have you tried that yet and can you compare it to the Louise Young one? Cause I thought that would be the perfect foundation brush ... Have a great day! * Kerstin

  • Have you tried the Coco Beau big fat firm foundation brush?

  • Omg it's so weird, I was online going to buy this last night lol!

  • have you had a nose job? ;-)

  • I have it in the Shopping Cart, I have added the shipping, I've input my details... Will I or won't I?!!!!

  • What color do you use for your brow?

  • Hi Michael!! How would you compare the Coco Beau Foundation brush to this Louise Young one? I am back and forth on the two. I would appreciate your help. :) Susan

  • Hi Michael !! Do you think you would be able to get your hands on a brush from Coco Beau called the Big Fat Firm Foundation brush ? this is supposed to be a really great one , i already own the Louise Young large foundation brush and would value your opinion on a review of both of these as im not sure if i need both !! but it is very tempting as it looks great too . Thankyou Love your videos my Mum thinks you look like Christopher reeves !! Have a great wk Love Claudia XX

  • I hope louise young starts selling brushes in canada and the us because for me, with shipping, this is just too expensive.

  • Try using it with Chanel Bronze Universal it's amazing

  • sounds amazing! Does it take any longer to dry than a regular paddle brush?

  • Twenty four and a half pounds? LOL. Although maybe you guys say 'half a dollar' as you have 'quarters' don't you. :)

  • DAMN!! you are a gorgeous hunk of a man, you.

  • Michael=Perfection. Michael this brush looks fabulous. Love your recommendations. The Coco Beau Big Foundation is the truly the best!

  • Aaaaaaah how do I make my skin blemish/acne free and healthy looking like yours???

  • I really enjoy your reviews. Thorough and concise. How they should be. =)

  • your vocab is 10x larger than mine.

  • Your hair = PERFECTION!!!! I was singing this while I was typing it by the way. :P

  • I have this brush and haven''t used it lately, but I absolutely LOVE it. Thanks for the great review, and for reminding me to use mine more. I love Louise Young brushes, and I love the customer service that they give. To me, with the quality of her brushes, and the customer service, they are all worth the money!

  • @yettabBE Good point. Based on my experience and all the stories I have heard/read, the customer service is world class! :D Thanks so much for watching! Get back to using that brush -Michael

  • i love that you use words like nebulous <3

  • you are so intelligent and extremely thorough.. thank you xx

  • That brush along with their pointed blender brush is on my list! You look gorgeous btw...Your skin is on point!!

  • When I saw the name of this video, somehow I knew it was about the LY34 :-O

I've yet to try out that specific brush, but I must say that I find Louise Young brushes really, really good.

  • lol I just asked you about this brush in ur MUFE foundation video :)

  • first, you seriously have the best looking skin ever! i watch your vids in awe of your skin

second, i can see that you put a lot of research, thought, and work into your videos and it shows. you deserve to be more recognized than most youtube "gurus" so keep up your work!

  • i just got an ecotools foundation brush have u tried that? to be honest i feel for ME putting foundation with my finger is easier.. lol but people have their preference.. and i respect that!

  • i would love to buy one as well, but i live in US ><" where can i buy them?

  • wow, awesome! thanks, michael!

I love makeup brushes and I totally think that they are an investment so it's okay to spend a lil bit more than usual on them... so when I get a chance, I'll buy it! haha

    :D

  • mmm "cognisant" I like that word. ;c) I've been tempted to purchase this brush for some time. great review!

  • ILOVEYOU.

  • I love how 'Short and sweet' is actually a 7:29 minute video! Not complaining. :P
