I was toold by his family I have the only existing film prints of his tv shows. But they never came forth to try to do something with them. I'll have to try again. Thanks for checking the shows out on line. I would like to see that autobiography.
@tvdays I used to watch this show in the early 60s as a child and would hide belts all over the house and pretend that I was Arthur Jones capturing snakes,I would get a pillow case and pretend to catch them.I loved this show.Thank you for posting them, they really bring back fond memories.God Bless.
Arthur Jones was truly amazing. He is an outstanding example, of what we can all at least attempt to achieve in life. I read there is an unpublished autobiography of his life, if so, this has to be resurrected and published! He is an inspiration and if i can achieve even 10% (although i will strive for achieving 100%) of what he has achieved, i will die an extremely happy man. Pursue the impossible, this way we can achieve what they say we can not. Rest in peace A.J
Arthur Jones also can teach you a thing or two about physical fitness, the man was a genius on top of having an insanely busy life. It is awesome to see this as I've been reading up on the guy lately, a real treat.
What makes you so sure? The fact that there is no evidence that they did, or the fact that they specifically said that was not their intention? Listen at 18:43.
yeh but rhino's are really agressive and the only way to stop one attacking is to kill or outrun it. seeing as you can't outun it by foot - these guys were taking risks that had to have a precautionary control.
gruzman: Obviously Arthur was NOT "really stupid" in dealing with wildlife. He would tell you that you are "ignorant" to their ways: If you don't know a subject thoroughly, you are merely ignorant. If, once you were informed how they behave and how to handle them, you continued to believe otherwise, you now stupid.
He informed us in the video how to get so close and why it is possible. So, you are no longer ignorant. However, you might still be......stupid.
so i'm stupid (or "i now stupid" as you put it) for saying "they probably shot one". i merely stated what i know about rhino's and i'm not gullible enough to believe that everything i've seen is the end of it. to state that animals are as consistently predictable as they say is silly. the rhino knows something is there, it has a baby - is it a risk worth taking just to say you got up close? and if you're looking for internet arguments, at least go find ones with substance. this is petty a best.
Arthur was a real man.
