Hahaha, with all due respect, regarding the artsy stuffs you're more like a comic book creator than a comic book geek even though geeks tend to debate two things in a similar fashion. Creators are always like oh my god, dude you rock! Its awesome, look at all those colors! They tend to look at stuff like that because there are certain rules about what looks good and what doesn't when it comes to drawings. That's the same thing here. You're like, for things to look way a certain way try this.

Other difference is, Kryolan is on this industry for years and years. It's the oldest company in theatrical makeup, I believe. I think, in the qualitywise, Kryolan is much better than Mehron. Also, Kryolan has more collections and selections. Also, comparing Ben Nye and Mehron, I prefer Ben Nye but I'm not saying Mehron is not good or anything like that. Just my opinion.

By the way, you should keep your hair in this length! Super cute! :) I love it. Thanks for the vid honey.

lol what difference does it make what someone uses it for? It can be used "everyday" makeup, stage makeup or clown makeup. Doesn't really matter. it's personal preference. Plus it doesn't affect you any.

Quick tip: Use a small spray bottle from the craft store to spray water onto the makeup (instead of using drops of water or a wet brush). It delivers a more even distribution of the water and, therefore, creates a better consistency with the makeup. I'm a face and body artist and have been working with both these products for years now and that's the technique that works best for me.

I use Kryolan to for facepainting and I love it! I also work at the starmagic store where they sell it so I'm privileged ;-)

We also have the Diamond FX and that's better when you make like details over other colours. It needs less water than kryolan and it doesn't mix if you put white over black.

We use it here mostly for face and bodypainting.

Have you ever heard of the diamondFX brand of makeup? I have a few things from them, and I think you may want to try it out and do a review. They have the water activated neons, metallics, pastels, etc...but they also have a skin tone palette which I use when I do drag performances. Its literally what you see is what you get. TRY IT OUT! :) Love the videos

I went to the SF Kryolan store today - they're having a 30% off sale til the end of September :) It was the first time I'd been, I got the six color Interferenze palette, the one with the teal and fuschia and olive green. I'm loving it so far, I may go back and get another palette before the sale ends. It's like a candy store in there for makeup lovers :) Thanks Leesha, I wouldn't have even known about Kryolan if not for you.

I think the largest difference is that the Kryolan colors (I think) are a little bolder, brighter, etc, and the Mehron colors are a tad more subdued, ppossibly better for the so-called 'day' or 'natural' looks. xsparkage is right though, Mehron holds color better, though kryolan ian't bad.
