Having no tutorial or learning process in a game is "not hardcore", doesn't make you "smart" and isn't some reason to believe that PC gaming is "superior". Any game that has a lack of tutorials or doesn't explain enough of the gameplay mechanics is poor decision from the developers. I shouldn't figure out how to play a video game, the game should teach me as I play.
There is a fucking tutorial, it's in the menu. Quit complaining because you have an attention span of 4 years old and get pissy because the game doesn't hold your hand.
It's game for console gamers, there's no problem with that. (see demon's souls and tbh any hard arcade game) But you have to take your time. I think that author tried to play some kind of macho that figures out how to play the game instinctively also not to bore the people watching but he failed.
Someone never told phil that if the customers don't like what he's selling, they'll stop buying. Dragon Age (both 1 and 2) are crap compared to this. Witcher 2 has a learning curve and takes some time getting used to...JUST LIKE THE FIRST ONE. CD Projeckt should continue to make games like the Witcher 1 and 2, hardcore and with much effort. @Gamethroughs I don't think it'll be better than Witcher 2. Playing that game more than once with different choices REALLY makes a difference. Actually the experience can be immensely different. Often enough you're given the choices to go to one place or another, or you are told to choose one thing over another and the quests are shaped around your decision, and some decisions can actually have you blocked off from certain quests but open you to other ones. It's a UNIQUE experience.

Keep up the walkthrough dude. The story alone is worth beating the game. I absolutely loved this game and would highly recommend it to any RPG gamer out there. To any console gamers who like the game I am about 99% sure it will be brought to your systems. The more playing this amazing game the better :) I also love the combat as it is hard but rewarding.

Not saying you specifically, but a great many of you have, and it's quite annoying. THIS is how he plays his games, nothing is going to change it, so either give some advice and move on, or shut the fuck up. That's putting it as politely as I can.
This game has its flaws, but it has a lot of good aspects too. Figure out some working strategies for combat, even if they are a bit cheesy. You can go around just kiting creatures and casting igni, for instance. Better that than letting combat ruin the whole game for you.
Witcher 2 combat is very similar to demon's soul but much less fluid and responsive, I could relate to the frustration during the first 2 chaptors until you've unlocked more abilities. The story is what keeps it going for me.

CD Projeckt should continue to make games like the Witcher 1 and 2, hardcore and with much effort. They might be one of the few game devs to be able to keep hardcore gaming from dying (its going to happen I think. And by that point, casual gaming will die fast and hardcore gaming will return)

@Gamethroughs I don't think it'll be better than Witcher 2. Playing that game more than once with different choices REALLY makes a difference. Actually the experience can be immensely different. Often enough you're given the choices to go to one place or another, or you are told to choose one thing over another and the quests are shaped around your decision, and some decisions can actually have you blocked off from certain quests but open you to other ones. It's a UNIQUE experience.

I have a feeling he never played or cared for the first one which is an immediate hit hurting his experience in the Witcher 2 and there's a learning curve that hardcore gamers are to learn. Casual gamers/semi-hardcore gamers will HATE this game because of this STRONG learning curve. I don't give a shit though, THIS is a game for true gamers where you see the developers effort and heart shining out.

Keep up the walkthrough dude. The story alone is worth beating the game. I absolutely loved this game and would highly recommend it to any RPG gamer out there. To any console gamers who like the game I am about 99% sure it will be brought to your systems. The more playing this amazing game the better :) I also love the combat as it is hard but rewarding.

This game has its flaws, but it has a lot of good aspects too. Figure out some working strategies for combat, even if they are a bit cheesy. You can go around just kiting creatures and casting igni, for instance. Better that than letting combat ruin the whole game for you.

Witcher 2 combat is very similar to demon's soul but much less fluid and responsive, I could relate to the frustration during the first 2 chaptors until you've unlocked more abilities. The story is what keeps it going for me.
