  • Love this film. Hayward and Davis go head to head with some great one liners. This scene with Conners was very well written and played. Honest and poignant.

  • There is a new Book on Susan Hayward By Gene Arceri called"Brooklyn Scarlett" Susan Hayward Fire in the wind" I know the Gene Arceri the Author. Gene Arceri's beginning of the extensive research that went into this book. A journey that took him from Brooklyn to Atlanta, with stops everywhere, and in-between wanting face to face interviews, anywhere he could find some insight into this compelling personality. With help from Hayward's brother Walter.

  • This is coming out on DVD in September 2010.

  • A born actress, and so beautiful. I love her.

  • Tenn. Williams once said Susan Hayward had the acting ability of Bette Davis and the allure and sexual magnetism of Marilyn Monroe. Indeed Susan Hayward was a unique star all of Her own. A Real Star!

This scene is nicely played by Mike Connors; Ms. Hayward as always is superb. A true Professional it is difficult to ever remember one scene where Susan Hayward was not effective. A true pro as was Henry Fonda, Stanwyck, Colbert, Frederic March, Loy, I call them The Professionals.

  • Susan Hayward -a true star- made this film at Paramount where she returned after many years(She along with Bill Holden had been a contract player to Paramount in the 40's) and was top billed over Bette Davis who played Susan Hayward's Mother.

A good film, based on the Lana Turner/JohnnyStompanto Murder, and Miss Hayward as always professional and magnetic to watch.
