I don't know what you are all on about here, the smooth sound? I bought the Sugarbytes bundle and I'm not that impressed with the sound at all. It's the vowel filters that give it it's sound and there are other synths that can do it too.
I'm more interested in the fact that he is using a DX7 as a keyboard ( " ,)
im a fan of all kinds of dance music and usually get a big mean ol frown on my face when someone says a classic track "sounds like daft punk", but that intro was givin off some serious Discovery-era vibes, and i mean that in the nicest way possible. even outside of 07-08's invasion of daft punk/justice clones, I could see some nice use for this synth. it seems real versatile, even without the mod wheel's help. (and btw nice use of that wheel to replace the mouth-tube thing on real vocoders)

I have Unique and I believe that those sounds are presets for the second i think it's "use modwheel". It feels exactly the same!!!
