It is scandalous that someone gets banned for expressing his views. Why do opinions always have to be popular? That being said, let us all pray for democracy. Hopefully it won't completely go down the drain with big brother watching us all - as it seems.....
"We encourage free speech and defend everyone's right to express unpopular points of view. But we don't permit hate speech (speech which attacks or demeans a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, and sexual orientation/gender identity)." based on that, i'm sure many would agree with me that he violated several of those rules numerous times. it's a wonder he stayed on the tube as long as he did.
he isnt doing hate speech hes pointng things out about the way most people act...are u worried hes speaking the truth is that why u callit hate speech..when its simply truth speech

free speech? sure i guess depending on where in the world you live. lets not forget that youtube is a service, the providers have rules and guidelines that one must adhere to in order to have the privilege of posting videos and comments on here. a little reading in the guidelines section of youtube will help bring it all to light for you.
well in this case, yeah sure. think of it this way.
google, who owns youtube, is a privately owned corporation. so essentially this site is private property.
if you came into my house and called me an asshole, i'd kick your ass out.
same thing applies here. it's bad for business to have people offended by others spewing hate speech. most people don't agree with it and are insulted by it.
but, if you're out on a public street using hate speech, then google won't have any right to stop you.
Unfortunatly, the US isn't a Democracy. It's a Republic. The difference is that we have rights (alot more than alot of other countrys) but our rights only extend so far. For example, we have fredom of speach, up to a point.
Although socialism does have it's good points, I'm just not willing to give up that many rights, ya know? I personaly believe that our form of government has worked in the past, and will work again in the future. We just have alot of shit to fix. Healthcare for one.

So what you are saying is it's alright for big Corporations to regulate Free Speech?

Like it or not Youtube is the gathering ground for people around the World to gather and speak their mind.
The People come FIRST!
Not the Corporation, they can charge people but they know how foolish that would be.
Free Speech is a Human Right and you can't regulate it through Private Ownership, that is elitism.
Banning people effects Free Speech more than it effects profit margin.
Corporations are OUR SERVANTS, not our MASTERS.

good point, a republic however implies the value of a democracy, but as you say up to a point.
would you prefer a goverment like the british one? i personally am a democratic socialist (it does exist)
