Last week I attended a religious event in my city where there was a stand promoting Islam.
They gave me a Quran, and I opened it, asked the white robed bearded man from Saudi Arabia to read Surah 9:30 which curses Christians and Jews. After he read it, he then showed me Surah19:88 even stronger..
Then..I told him "I'm Christian" and gave him a handshake and friendly smile and left calmly.

I was pointing out how arrogant it is to claim there is no God. The only way you can know that there is no God is to know everything that could possibly be known, since God represents the universal conscious.
I'm sure you're an intelligent person, but no one can claim that.
Many evils have been done in the name of religion. However, the (at least) 100mil people who died in the name of atheism show that religion isn't the pure source of these evils.

Secondly, I layed out perfectly intellectual arguments...that no man can claim there is no God without knowing everything, that atheism is a religion and has the same bounds, causes, and effects, and that you are exactly what you claim we are.
All you've managed to come up with so far is that religious books are fiction and we're all brainwashed. It'd be great if you would actually define an argument instead of refering to the same defeated point.

Atheism is a religion. It has a set of beliefs based on books written by some the most educated men of their time. It has places where it's truths are discussed and learned. It has holy days, priests, and utopian goals.
Science is the study of God. At least in my beliefs God = everything, God is religion's metaphorical representation of the universe and all existence. So no, science cannot disprove the existence of God anymore that it can prove it.

I'm religious, but at least according to my understanding of my religion (whereas others have used its interpretations for evil) it is wrong to be offensively violent. However, when groups of radical Muslims attack us (us as in the Western, secular, individualist societies), we are left with few choices.

The man is worried about his national identity. I dont blame him. I think what some of the extremists need to remember is that some of their relatives surely live in these so called tyrannical regimes. I think britain is slowly losing its national identity. I am proud of being british, as he is proud of being an aussie. You dont get the right to be proud of your country anymore, but its perfectly ok to tread carefully around muslim communities... I don't believe Islam or any single religion will ever take over the world for the simple fact the world is a big place and it would be impossible to "make" 6 billion plus people do anything they did not want to, plenty have tried in the past and all have failed.
