  • @adeptmind @sc00f

you realize when you fight on the internet no one wins your all just retarded

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @Adeptmind To me it seems that YOU are the retard who makes a complete fool of himself by stating various statements and giving ZERO proof, reference or evidence for it. You didn't even point to ONE single reference to support your claims. Maybe because you can't, and just act as an arrogant dickhead instead?

  • @sc00f Yeah.. I'm the one who is acting like an arrogant dickhead? You are the one who replied to me.. like a douche from the beginning.. but it's me.. yeaahhhh okay. What is wrong with you man? You have a big screw loose.. move on.. it's just youtube.. again.. get a life.. this is getting old. Besides you admitted I was right.. and I have proven you wrong time and again. I told you where to go look.. sorry if you don't pay attention

  • @Adeptmind You're telling me to get a life and move on? Tell me, why don't YOU get a life and move on, instead of arguing with me here? I never admitted you're right, and you never proven me wrong or shown any evidence to support what you say.

  • @sc00f You admitted I was right.. I'll just leave it at that.. I deleted all my comments so you can pretend like you "won".. I'll let you believe that since I know it's important to trolls.. it gives you your sense of worth.. enjoy arguing with yourself. Supasexystick is right.. there are no winners on youtube.. it's impossible to have an intelligent debate in limited characters. Good luck in your life troll.. I hope you find the love you are missing in your life

  • @Adeptmind Although we agree on some claims, I never said you're right on certain other issues. Great attitude; instead of showing a SINGLE webpage to give some support to your claims, you decided to remove all your bullshit from the comment page. This shows who you really are: when you're afraid you're losing an argument, you just back off and leave, hoping that your ego will not get hurt by admitting the mistakes you made.

  • @sc00f just tired of dealing with trolls.. you are incapable of understanding facts and just want to argue. You admitted you agreed.. then deleted them.. so.. whatever helps you sleep at night you go right ahead on and believe buddy.. good day

  • @Adeptmind No, you're just tired of the fact that you couldn't even point out to ONE single webpage or document to support your claims. I NEVER said I agreed to all of your 'facts', only to some of them. You didn't give any support or evidence to support your other 'facts', some of which are nonsense. When I repeatedly asked you to show some hard evidence or proof, you said I'm a troll and retreated, deleting most of your comments. I think it shows that YOU are incapable of arguing.

  • @sc00f Again.. whatever helps you sleep at night. Get a life man.. you are taking youtube wayyyy too seriously.. it's sad. Find love <3

  • @supasexystick You are absolutely right

  • what song is that

  • What song ?

  • bass race is an average btw.. 157.4 is fucking insane. nice work neil

  • This is past the threshold of pain.

  • fail

  • dear santa.....

  • essa bosta só tem grave nenhum agudo pra ajudar, e se colocar no ar livre aberto acaba com o grave tenta auto falantes secos seu troxa.............

  • can I borrow one of those subs please?

  • The subs don't even hit the same notes there all different something's fucked up some r I ER powered some r under powered

  • I am from the bahamas and my boi hit 159 db's with just 4 dd(digital design)15's. so for 24 speakers this does not impress me!!

  • Dream Car

  • all of that and only 157???

  • Comment removed

  • its not the bass doing damage.. its the highs like tweeters that hurt..

  • Comment removed

  • @Adeptmind 135 dB of Highs is different from 135 dB of bass

  • @BiggJern

Technically no they aren't. They are both just as loud as one another, but they way the human ear perceives sounds is different between the 2. Bass is arguably more "felt" than heard, while highs are more heard. If you are talking SPLs, than yes, bass will produce a different reading. But in terms of acoustic reproduction, they are both just as loud and just as damaging.

  • @blown262 that's actually what I meant, lol. The frequencies is what is the problem. 135 dB at say 8000 hz is more painful than 135 dB at 80 Hz. Like 20 lbs of bricks vs 20 lbs of feathers: they weigh the same but the bricks will hurt worse than the feathers

  • Comment removed

  • @Adeptmind Not denying your knowledge but from experience, 120 db of highs hurt worse than 120 db of lower frequencies. by number, yes they are the same but bass is more felt than highs. I agree that they can both cause hearing loss, but the same can be said about kidney damage with beer vs. hard liquor.

  • Comment removed

  • @Adeptmind lol you're getting very agitated over nothing man. It's funny how you're using science when they do what in science? Experiment. I did and that's what happened. And yes, liquor is harder on your kidney, but you failed to see what I was saying: they both can do damage. Highs and bass can cause damage (as I somewhat said before) but at different levels, at least from my experience. Besides, Not all bassheads play irresponsibly.

  • Comment removed

  • @Adeptmind and I'm sure everyone will listen to the person calling people ignorant fools. You know what? give the published experiments. And no lies were said. I'm telling you what I've experienced. at the same time, I said I don't doubt your knowledge. All I said is that Loud highs hurt my ears more than bass. and I also said that they both did damage. If you don't wanna acknowledge that then whatever. I'm up for continuing this in the inbox. other than that, forget it.

  • @Adeptmind I work in the audio field too. First, many of your mentioned earlier technical terms are totally irrelevant from the point of hearing loss. Second, I have hearing loss from loud music exposure (DJing) and I can tell that my hearing loss in the highs range is a lot worse than my hearing loss in the bass range. I agree with BiggJern that both loud high and low freqs cause hearing loss, but the high range is a lot more sensitive to damage from loud music (personal experience).

  • @Adeptmind I said one of my good friends designs studios, not me.

Let me ask... why is this all relevant from the point of hearing loss? Subwoofers do not miraculously turn themselves into tweeters if you crank up the volume enough... Yes, there is SOME level of harmonic distortion in every moving system, but normally it's energy is negligible compared to the fundamental frequency. So why would this be relevant?

  • Comment removed

  • @Adeptmind Okay... it seems you didn't even pay attention to what I say. I said multiple times that I agree that both loud basses and highs can be damaging. So I'm not arguing with that. Then who are you arguing with?

I'm only saying, based on my personal experience highs are more sensitive to damage, and they are more prone to ear fatique. Most commercial recordings have lots of bass (due to industry standard -3db/oct mastering curve), still people lose the highs more.

  • Comment removed

  • @Adeptmind And just for the record, I don't remember seeing any significant harmonics when I recorded sine waves using measurement microphones. Some objects might resonate at some frequencies (due to standing waves), adding a negligible amount of sound (but not necessarily harmonics of the fundamental) at other frequencies. But even with that, I repeat my question: why is this relevant from the point of hearing loss? The energy in the distortion is negligible, compared to the sound.

  • Comment removed

  • @Adeptmind And thinking about this more... overtones of a 440 Hz sine wave are overtones at 880, 1320, 1760, 2200 Hz etc. I can surely tell, this cannot be caused by reflections. If you mean harmonic distortion of the moving cone in the speaker, then yes, the distortion (and not the room reflections) will create harmonics at these frequencies. But unless you overdrive the speaker a LOT, this distortion is negligible. 'Loud' does not automatically mean 'overdriven far beyond limits'.

  • Comment removed

  • @Adeptmind Yes, if you overdrive subs to the max then harmonic distortion gets stronger. But that's not a 'normal' listening situation, we agree on that, right?

(personally I would not sit into such a car without ear protection)

  • Comment removed

  • @sc00f why you so hostile? :3 just enjoy the overtones bruh

  • @OJNOproductions because I dislike when someone repeatedly states technical nonsense with such a confidence.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @sc00f It's simple physics.. you can't move enough air with 4 inches of surface to hit 20 hz.. stop arguing.. you are just making yourself look ridiculous

  • @Adeptmind Sorry, but you're a retarded prick. If I move ANY surface at a rate of 20 Hz, that will definitely create a vibration of 20 Hz. If this object is moving your eardrum at a rate of 20 Hz in a sealed headphone, then your ear will perceive that movement as a 20 Hz soundwave.

  • @sc00f No.. it won't

  • @Adeptmind I told you more than a half dozen times to point out to even ONE single reference, document or webpage to support what you say. You didn't, just keep arguing like an 5 year old... "yes it will! no it won't! yes it will! no it won't!" Now THAT is pathetic. Grow up, and give me some hard evidence. Or shut the fuck up.

  • @sc00f Seriously.. get.a.life. You started the argument. You already said I was right multiple times then decided to remove the comment to make it look like you didn't and start arguing about something else. It's JUST YOUTUBE So stop crying like a baby.. and go find yourself a girl (she'll probably have to be drunk and dependent to deal with your whiny ass so I suggest a bar or rehab facility) Good luck in life..hope you find the love you are missing in your life. <3 Good day. I said GOOD DAY!

  • @Adeptmind sorry, but your first sentence is technically total nonsense. I'm quite experienced in acoustic simulation of reverbs and reflections, and I can tell that they do NOT create overtones.

Why I have more hearing damage in the highs? Because the human ear is more sensitive to highs, not because there's less sub bass in a DJ booth. Subs are more-or-less omni-directional, opposed to highs, which are mostly directional. This is why DJ headphones typically have lots of BASS.

  • @sc00f lol like I said everyone does it different.. if you go listen to any mix.. most people mix highs first with bass eq'd out.. but whatever you gotta believe. Please.. please Let it go dood.. it's over.. remember.. I said you win. believe whatever you need to sleep at night. You are the winner.. that was your goal in trolling.. you succeeded i retreated.. have a nice life.. now go get a life and buzz off

  • @Adeptmind yes, I do that often (mix highs first). But in case the track I'm mixing does not have highs in the beginning, only a kick/bass, then I DO need a good, loud bass in the headphone to hear the rhythm (because there's no hi-hats in the track yet!) See what I mean? So it depends on the situation. For this reason, I always choose a headphone for DJing that is capable of putting out loud, clean bass.

I was not "trolling", I was correcting some inaccuracies in what you said.

  • @sc00f Again.. like I said.. everyone does it different. It's over man.. move on.. this is crossing from sad to pathetic

  • @sc00f just when I thought I had a hard time, I see that YOU are also having it out with him, lol

  • @Adeptmind if you're an expert in your field, you should know about Fletcher-Munson curves. If not, then I recommend you research them. They show that the human ear has lower sensitivity to basses, compared to highs. I think this also translates to less sensitivity to hearing loss in the bass range. If you're really an audiologist, then you should know this already.

  • @sc00f hahaha fletcher munson curves that's cute.. but that has to do with the perception of sound and nothing to do with hearing damage. So you might want to go read up on those because the fletcher-munson curves show exactly what I'm trying to explain. Is that the louder you go.. the more all those lines (divided by db) even out, and that the damage is about equal, especially considering bass is already harder to perceive.. the highs give more leeway for amount of damage before significant.

  • @sc00f It wasn't for you.. it's for all the kids who come and think loud bass is COOL to listen to ALL the time. It's not.. this conversation was between me and someone else and you jumped in because you didn't like me explaining to people that loud music damages hearing. As you know because you were stupid enough to damage your hearing. So maybe you should mind your business

  • @Adeptmind Yes I agreed that loud music damages hearing, but I didn't agree on your technical nonsense about overtones and harmonics.

  • @Adeptmind And a possible reason why people could get upset at you for providing information is because you're posting technical nonsense with such a confidence.

  • @sc00f The people = you... just you. Because you are an internet troll who wants kids to lose their hearing.

  • @Adeptmind It seems that it's you who are a troll who keeps on talking technical nonsense and gets agitated when someone more experienced than you corrects the facts.

  • @Adeptmind you should check out 'equal-loudness countour curves' which is a revision of the earlier Fletcher-Munson curves. They do not 'even out' as the F-M curves, which is unexplained (was hypothetised that it could be due to improper equipment calibration or other factors). Both the ISO equal-loudness contour curves and the Robinson-Dadson curves show a LOT less sensivitiy in the bass frequency range for all loudness levels than other frequences, there's no 'evening out'.

  • @sc00f less sensitivity = needs to be louder to hear it. Funny though.. you say the most sensitive parts get the most damage. However we see that the most sensitive areas are in the range of the human voice.. and those are where we usually see the least damage. The areas that are the least sensitive are the first to go. Look up the statistics. The high highs and the low lows go first.. sorry you don't understand the charts or statistics. We'll have to agree to disagree since you don't like truth

  • @Adeptmind I never suggested that the human voice range is the most sensitive. I suggested (like others) that the high frequencies are most sensitive to damage. That's contrary to the fact that most recordings have a LOT more bass than highs. If you're really a mastering engineer, you should know about the -3 dB/oct equalization curve usually used during mastering. I mastered quite a few tracks, and seen analysis of LOTS of commercial recordings. All have a LOT more bass than highs.

  • @sc00f The best way to protect your ears if your a dj.. is to go to an audiologist. They will make you custom earplugs that reduce the db by a certain amount (they usually come with different filters for different volumes). If you don't have earplugs, make sure you avoid loud sounds the next day. The cilia are fried and brittle from over exposure and most damage is done the following day. When they break they can't be repaired and leads to permanent hearing loss and tinnitus. Sorry for helping u

  • Ахуеть! Мнеб такую машинку,не видел еще столько сабвуферов в одной машине,пиздец там наверно киловат 50!!!!!

  • judge- Congrats you won!

    Guy- what!?

judge- I said i fucked your mom, your my son!

  • @mccullar513 yea, when you have 24 of them, then you can talk

  • thats one hell of a way to dust off ur car :)

  • хуйня 157 дб мало

  • 24 10" l7s around $3600 in subs more or less. 2 custom built 18s on 10k rms less than 2 grand. I don't think this was a wise purchase. But i guess it doesn't matter since he was paid to do this.

  • @BENSYARDSERVICE you and those custom subs, lol

  • @BENSYARDSERVICE I'd really like to see a 10K watt amp for less than $2,000.

  • @hellbilly007 dc 9.0k is right around there. And besides his setup to run rms would need just under 15k...

  • that steering wheel is just... moving. it's not even vibrating anymore lol

  • id be sweet if they were 15s 10s are lame

  • LMAO OVERKILL!

  • que basura de db marco, solo con 4 de esos se puede marcar eso y poco mas, consigue un buen instalador,

  • eaaaa veee con el clarck y el moree

  • I would love to piss my neighbors off with that ! Call the cops now bitches! Haha

  • Really? Lol I thought I was doing good with my 1 12 lmao

  • I love all these people commenting on this video saying it's weak shit to only do 157 with that many subs and whatnot. Funny thing is, it's Bassrace not DB drag. Fucking idiots.

  • Fuck, SPLs that loud would just be uncomfortable and dangerous.

  • 157 db for more than 5 minutes will deafen you , gosh that cant be healthy lol

  • dude you can get sooooo much more out of your subs if you get a multi meter and line level your sub amps. some of your subs are playing at diffrent levels than the others wich will cost you db's. it is almost as some of your subs are playing out of phase
