ive seen some pics of this truck having stupid tractor tires than it evolved into more of racing for tnt now gary cook lets the name live with new driver mike hawkins
I don't know what this truck's secret ingredient was, but I certainly remember it kicking a lot of butt, back in the 80's. If didn't break or roll, it was usually winning every bracket. Thumbs up for keeping the memories alive!
Excellent video. My favorite Monster Truck back in the 80's. It was a revolutionary truck. Worldchampion over big names, such as Big Foot, USA-1, and The Gravedigger. David Morris and the Equalizer are the pride of Springfield, TN. The best Monster Truck of the 80's.
FYI, This very truck still exists today, and is still racing and competitive, it ran as Equalizer from late 1988 until just a couple of years ago when Mike Hawkins put the name on a patrick chassis, he bought it from Morris in 03 or 04, the chassis now runs mainly as Ragin Rebel, altho it still runs the Equalizer name from time to time, along with other names. It also won 3 Championship if my Information is correct, the 89 TNT Championship, the 1994 USA Motorsports Championship and the 1997
My favorite MT growing up! I truly miss watching Morris and Holbrook tearin' it up! If I'm not mistaken, this video shows the event where Equalizer and Bigfoot tied TWICE in the final round...
I used to watch monster truck racing in the late 80s and early 90s. I remenber watching the Equalizer, it was one of the firts (if not the firts)of the lightweight four link suspension trucks.
That was in Roanoke Virginia, David Morris said what happened that the A frame underneath the truck to hold up the front of the truck was made from some lighter material and it collapsed.
why don't you expand this one, showing Equalizer at PENDA shows, Monster Wars and on the USA Motorsports '97 finals

I never cheered for this truck, but i have to give it its due, it's preety much the first to take a step towards an actual "racing truck".
