It is indeed easy mode, he gets 30$ per kill in the first levels. You only get 30$ for the swordsmen on easy. Lying fail.

That's not easy mode, you can tell by how many enemies were on the screen in the early levels, on easy only 2-3 at a time come on easy.

P.S. Lasers don't stop the planes, I've had 3 fully upgraded laser turrets and the planes still just bombed away.
