Oooh what I would give! He's such a cool dude. Soo nice that he shook everyone's hand. I would never wash my hand either!!! That must be so weird for him that ppl adore him like a god and he makes their life by shaking their hand!!
That's exactly why I love Pearl Jam, and think Ed is the man. He comes out, shakes hands, makes eye contact and talks to the damn fans. I've never met Ed, but I met Stone pretty much the same way, I was waiting in line to see him play with his other band Brad, and he came out and shook hands, said hello, and gave all of us who were waiting band stickers.
Christ, there's so much respect between Eddie and the lucky fans, no assholes or big ego arrogant rock stars there. I don't know the man but I think you all will agree if I say that Eddie is a great human being.
when i was at bonnaroo 2008 the day after pearl jam played i was in the vip section and eddie vedder just came strolling up in a golf cart, and i was like "dude, you fuckin' rule!" and proceeded to go where he was going, but i got blocked by security. bastards.
Thanks for posting this! Amazing show and I was curious how it worked out for all the people waiting. I was way too tired to wait until 1:30, so no regrets meeting out on this. Unreal experience at that show.
