This should have been the intro in the first place, MUCH better than the first load of crap..
GT1 still has the best intro in terms of excitement. The slow buildup, the engine roar and then the GT logo exploding into the great into sequence. I'd love to see the GT1 intro redone in full HD.
The "lame car factory stuff" is actually a great intro, imho. It's what actually makes all those cars you drive, believe it or not. Somewhere on another GT5 video i've seen a comment on the lines of "if you actually love cars, you'll love the first part of the intro" and I could not agree more. It's a game about cars, not simply motorsports.
Only thing i'm not really sure is if I like the piano of 2.0 or the 1.0 version.

The factory segment at the beginning is definitely not this, and is a complete foil to both what the latter intro is like and what I think an intro should be like. The factory and the gameplay are very contrasting. It just doesn't fit to me.

games don't have intros these days, which really sucks because on ps1, the intro was what got you pumped up to play the game, love a good intro. gran turismos intros have always been epic. spec 2.0 blows away spec 1.0 intro.
@advanceshipper. If you watch closely, that Focus seems to pop up in the air too. The Subaru seems firmly planted on the ground though, when it passes the Citroen. Perhaps it was more than 2 cars on the track.
The intro makes this game feel so alive however when I play the game it just doesn't feel that way at all, There is no close racing with the AI , Its always about just passing a bunch of cars with ease.

You could make the argument that for some reason, it is better for them to not make it available for purchase, but if you ask me they are sitting on well over a million bucks in 99 cent mp3 downloads.
