Greatly informative, and well-done video! I clicked an ad :)
Any chance of you doing one of these for a Xoom "family edition"? I went with one because of the upgraded screen and office apps, and now see that when the battery fails I won't be able to replace it - it has no torx screws, and a different rear cover design. Disassembly has me stumped, as well as every site I've seen on the web discussing it.
I'm a little confused on specification on part names. My tablet fell out of a broken plastic bag and so until I disassemble it I don't know what part is cracked on my screen. Tell me if I'm wrong. There is a (1) glass screen and then (2) an LCD display. Is the glass screen called the digitizer? Or am I missing any parts because I don't want to buy the wrong replacement part. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.
@MNcreativity The glass that you touch is called either a touch panel, glass front or digitizer all 3 of those names refer to the same part. The LCD is the screen under the touch panel aka digitizer. Hope this helps.
@pdaparts Mine should be here in a few hours, could be interesting if its a standard mine-PCIe slot, take the 3G card out and fit something else more useful maybe...
Hmmm, I brought my screwdriver set in today to take a phone to bits...
@Trig0r Sounds like it is not the 3G card area from the info below by @Trig0r so if that is the case then I am leaning towards the mini-PCIe. Things are getting interesting.
@pdaparts Nope, just got mine about 10 minutes ago, already got the back off (them clips are a pita) not got a 3g card in it, same empty space you have on yours.
Could be interesting for modders if it can have a mini-PCIe soldered into place..

Seen another pic with a card in place, maybe 3g is on the mailboard and 4g requires a card? mines a UK 3g version...

Empty mini-PCIe slot header next to the battery?

@Trig0r Maybe. My guess is it is the spot for the cell card/board. Since this is a WiFi version.
