  • It seems that ICOM has finally redesigned there PTT switch. It has only taken them about 5 or so years?!? I was about to have ptt switch 5,6, not even sure now, put in, and my tech called and said, I will order in a few days, they just released updated better ones. I say, about time, and I hope it will last me years instead of months.

  • I'm on my fifth ptt switch now. #4 wasn't totally bad, but I wanted to get it done before it did.

  • Yes, of course it can. It covers 10m, 6m, 2m, and 70cm. Plus if you want to do morse code on the h f frequencies you can go there too, if you hav the right antennas.

  • yes! any band to any band, any mode to any mode. you can split 160m/2m if you really wanted to.

  • granted this is kind of a cheeze video, but now that I have posted it, I have found just a few more videos on ic-7000. so were not alone. this just gives a few how too's in a very low tech form. hope it helps you out, to atleast see a few of the things this radio offers.
