The Grandia series is probably one of the most underrated RPGs in the genre. Hell, I don't know anybody who's ever even heard of it let alone played it. Sure the stories were never particularly compelling, but they always offered a ton of great fun.

I love this game's gameplay and the story as wel. It just didn't give too much freedom about things. I think it would have been better if there was a secret dungeon or boss so that your powerful party won't feel underestimated against the weak last boss.

Elena spent a lot of the game believing in Granas, and it clouded her vision, and when the people learned that Granas was dead, they gave up hope when Valmar started killing humanity until Elena began to sing and give them hope. The entire point of the plot was to show that humans don't need gods, they can fend for themselves when they have nothing to rely upon.

The one thing I found curious is a little into the series they stop talking about the greyhounds(not 100% on the name haven't played in months) but when Ryudo dies even against the the final boss says "I'm not worthy to be a greyhound" you haven't even mentioned greyhounds since forever ago and my main question: who the hell are the greyhounds? i mean think about it they never really explained who they we're if there are more than just Ryudo and Skye. I repeat WHO THE HELL ARE THE GREYHOUNDS!?

It's Geohound. And it's merely a job/title given for people who hunt and kill things for a living.

They are shunned by most of the civilians in the game, and the Curch doesn't usually tolerate "murderous" Geohounds, despite they are the ones mainly keeping monsters in check! Though later in the game, it seems the people in bigger towns are more tolerant of them. Or just don't care.

This era of rpg's is all it had, there ws soo much character growth. even take for example ryudo b4 the start of the pilgrimage to when he obtains the granasabre. In the beginning it was just another job for him, by the end he had found his brother, learned of grana's death, and even turned the wings of valmar against valmar himself. And thats just him. Roan, Elena, Mareg, Tio. Too may amazing characters each with their own unique story!

Starting Inor Mountian im leveling Elena at least to increase her defense one thing i like about elena is that she is good in healing and offensive spells Elena is the lowest defense among the characters in G2.
