Boogie7th - how many lives have you ruined by titling soldiers, even when there was no evidence? Hundreds I suspect. Then again, a CID motto that I hear frequently is "EVEN IF THERE IS NO EVIDENCE, IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE SUSPECT IS NOT GUILTY." So the servicemember is almost always titled, despite the lack of evidence, even when the person is innocent. I see it all of the time.

You go too far. That is not the CID motto and no one I know has said such a thing in my presence. I never titled anyone without substantial evidence and SJA concurrence. Cross examination is never fun. However, on the stand, there is nothing to fear if you simply tell the truth and don't argue with the defense. Any CID Agent worth his salt knows this and I don't know anyone who hates TDS. If an agent makes a fool of himself on the stand, well, shame on him.

Complete line of BS. I spent 21 years as an Army CID agent. Completely untrue. Sounds like this guy is trying to drum up business by scareing defendents into distrusting TDS.

This is not a complete line of BS. I am a former TDS Attorney and I happen to agree that a client should consider the things that Mike is saying. Most clients can trust their TDS Attorney and don't hire a civilian. But, civilian attorneys like Mike and me are usually hired because the client does not trust their TDS attorney. Mike is just relaying what he sees a lot of and I know him to be a straight shooter.

I see CID agents title a suspect simply because they request legal counsel, refuse to make a statement or refuse to "confess" to CID's version of what happened, even when they are innocent.
If you spent 21 years in CID, you know that any TDS lawyer that hangs out with CID is not know for fighting for his clients. The best TDS lawyers (the ones that fight and win cases) are usually hated by CID because they kick butt in court and make CID agents look like fools.
