  • what city are you in? I would like to purchase your alluminum bars.

  • Why do you people insist on pouring aluminum into molds over concrete? If you done any research on this you know how dangerous this is. You would a lot safer to do your pouring over the grass or a sand box, if you slip you end up with dead grass, over concrete if you slip you end up with concrete and molten metal exploding all over the place.

Yes I am talking from experience.

  • What's do you melt, silver?

  • Do all home foundries sound like that, very cool...hot. Lookin to make my own here, good inspiration thanx.

  • @ibblecabibble My furnace places classical music

  • could you demonstrate some of that hot metal being poured onto everyday items??? like into a coffee cup, a pair of old shoes, and other such items??? would be interesting seeing how easily the metal burns right through. thanks

  • This is a beautiful foundry , don't get me wrong, but it seems like you spent a lot of money for what can be done with a propane tar torch and a trash can. I am not trying to piss you off but you must be a perfectionist. I should post mine so you can see it. You really have done a great job and your stuff looks extra safe, so good job man you seem to have the shit down pat. So many folks these days can't do anything for themselves. I use my foundry to build parts for my sawmill. Post more

  • @BlueMacGyver perfectionism is a good thing, unless ure paid by the hour! ;)

  • Got a fair amount of dross off of that aluminum, what were you melting it down from? Nice looking pour though, great foundry design, close to what I'm wanting to do myself. Looking for a crucible to handle cast iron though, since I plan on doing a number of styles of weights in iron. Any thoughts on that?

  • Very good progect. very accurate foundry implementation. One thing - please, use more stable base to stay hot crusible on it. Hot liquid Al is VERY dangerous.

  • Thanks. You are right. Although more stable than it looked, the base was too small to take a chance. It was replaced some time ago. I didn't want to take the video down but I still get comments on it. I also use a full fire suit now.

    Jeff

  • What a song?

  • you need better leg protection

  • @ASSEMblerEX no u dont need cz u dont fell any thing is very protected on fire

  • Nice furnace, good video, nice rythm lyrics suck...must be a local band or a home band

  • Great mirror clean aluminum..., Do you add something to the melt..?

    Thanks for sharing...

  • I like your furnace setup- lots of good ideas there. How about some details on the burner? Did you build it or buy it? If you built it, I'd like to see some plans or drawings. Thanks! cjack56
