@TheMrLycidas Of course German and Austrian have similar culture but i still like to highlight that Falco was Austrian. =) We have still very different dialect and fine cultural differences. And Austria was very long a own kingdom - big part of germany was part of Austria and not vice versa except in times of WW2. :D *no joke*

Out of the Dark says "...muss ich denn sterben, um zu leben?" ("...do I have to die in order to live?"), after which Falco can be heard breathing heavily. This made many people think Falco felt that he was going to die soon, The actual motives why Falco wrote this song remain misty. It seems very prophetic, does it not? When I hear this song I still have to grasp for air after all this years...Very sad!!!!

The answer is no, he did not have to die, but he will always live in our hearts.
