This is one of my favorite segments of this classic film, it just illustrates the vibrancy and madness of the human species kind of like a dream like hive gone beserk.... thanks for posting!
I just came here to say I find the women in the red/orange shirt working on the TV from 3:29 - 3:38 really beautiful for some reason.. I wonder where she is now
@wysiwyg2006 By the time this film was released you might say that this was one of the first films whose narrative is beyond words, almost like a gigantic videoclip but with a deep content. And it was included on the book "1001 Movies You Should Watch Before Die".
This part of the film reminds me why veganism is a noble alternative to the prepackaged pig-trough food of our fat world. Now if only i could practice what i preach... :(
I believe this to be a film of great import but it must be seen in its entireity to get the coherence of it and to develop much of an opinion while seeing only a 10 minute clip is missing the importance of it. So, thank you for all 10 of 10. I have seen this film many times, love it every time. And the music does make a point even it if it is minimalism!

The music in this is phenomenal. Without it, this film would be so much worse.

comparing the scenes of people and the scenes of hotdogs being packaged:
hey maynnnn we're all just like pieces of meat being strung along the constricted paths of our imprisoned lives by the man's machine maynnnnn.

The restaurant at 6:48 was Ship's Coffee Shop in Westwood. It was demolished in 1984.
