We do man maker mondays with kettlebells- pretty much the same exercises but we do double kb swings before cleans and no lunges at end. And instead of time for five rounds we do max rounds in fifteen minutes. Since we are in the middle of winter in northern Alberta, Canada we don't run outside as we train in a judo dojo with no shoes , we only run 3 laps of the dojo.This is not for cardio- the 5 reps of the combo you due is just fine. It is a short active rest . Some guys are getting 8 rounds.

Why 400 meters? Unless you're out-of-shape cardio wise, this amount (a quarter of a mile) seems like it wouldn't do much at all; that's a three-minute run. I'd imagine you'd need something closer to half an hour or more for real cardio..
Correct. There is no rest between the man makers. Everything is timed so you complete the 5 rounds of 5 man makers and 400 meter run as fast as you can then log the time.
I assume that after the lunges, you return the weights to the ground and repeat? Is there a rest after the lunges or is it straight to another set for a given time?

Depends on where they are starting from....some, 1 week, others 13.23 months, and other women remain women.

so if i get it you do 5 rounds of 5 man makers each? cuz i taught u were timing the rounds . then you run 400meters after each round?

I think a 400 is perfect between sets. Way better than just resting. And if you need 3 minutes you got some work to do :)
