  • Hello ! what do you use for record your video ?

  • very cool video.. My goal has been to do exactly what you are doing here.. soon!! how do you shut off osd stuff on cyclops?

  • @hairlesshippy Thanks man. To shut off the OSD and change screen options. Take the servo extention wire that came with the kit. Plug in the servo wire extention to the 3 pin lead thats next to the reset button. Plug the other end to a AUX channel on your chianlink receiver. On your DX8 find that channel and choose a AUX switch that is a 2 position switch. Power everything up and look at the monitor. Then toggle the 2 position switch on and off and you have a different option everytime (3 total)

  • @sundown798 How do you read the battery life and how do you know its getting low?

  • @Dmac11a666 Look at the OSD on screen display. The V means video power and when it gets low it will read about 10.5 volts or so and that battery will start fully charged around 12.5 volts 3 cell. The video battery will last me about 2 flights while the main motor battery just 1.The P means only main motor battery power. That 4 cell 14.8v battery will start out fully charged at 16.4 volts and is pretty much dead at 14 volts. Il'l bring it back in the area around 14.8ish volts on the display.

  • @sundown798 What kind of flight times you getting?

  • @Dmac11a666 40-45 minutes total but I always leave 10 minutes or so free when I arrive. I never want to be in a dead stick situation. So really 30 to 35 minutes total of safe flying time.

  • @sundown798 Nice, was thinking about getting the skywalker v2...Would you recomend anything better...I was looking to just fly high and take pictures and video no stunts or anything...What motor and battery do you use? Your plane is sweet man..:P

  • @Dmac11a666 The skywalker is great it is very durable. I use a 5000mah 4 cell for main and 3 cell 13000mah for video. Motor is 980kv BEVRC's brushless motor for skywalker. For other planes the Ritewing Zephyr is like the Porshe of FPV long distance planes. It will probably be my next plane. I really want a plane I can hand launch with a heavy payload as my skywalker needs runway to take off. The Zephyr can be hand launched anywhere. GreatPlanes Siren sailplane is good too.

  • @sundown798 What model battery are you using and what does the c stand for at the end like "5000mah 4 cell 14.8 "40c""?

  • @sundown798 How come you only got 15min of flight time on this run? Was the battery fully charged or where you giving it alot of throttle??

  • @Dmac11a666 I still had another 15 mins left or more when landed. Video battery was low and had to come down. I was giving alot of throttle though and if you can have longer flights if you manage the throttle. Windy days can drain your battery fast!
