I´m not sure, If you know..but in real life was Salieri friend of Mozart, not his enemy as in film Amadeus. I love that piece, but is historically inaccurate :)
Wagner's Faust Overture, many from Wagner are kind of dark, then you have Mozart's requiem, or (others composer's Requiem), I don't know if it's dark but are intense and extremely dramatic and sad, I don't know I guess it's difficult for me because I studied many years this kind of music, it has to be in how every person perceive individually this music.
@EnigmaticNothing And what is that? I must be missing something because I thought all I did was show my excitement of being a nonconformist and honestly expressing my opinion buy pressing the dislike button.
Leonard Hokanson, piano, (with Kurt Redel at the baton) seems to be the ONLY recording artist who plays the opening sequence portato with PEDAL, and has the piano sing as it ought to. Everybody else seems to have a weird fixation with playing this unbearable staccato. Just a thought.
I'm listening to this while I sit here and listen to it.

Fun fact: Mozart wrote two candenzas for this movement. This is cadenza B.

@martysam5d isnt a candeza a solo preformance ?

@gnulen excuse me - i meant cadenza. i'm not sure a "candenza" is anything at all.

Incredible! I love this wonder! One of my favorite of all piano concertos, as the 3rd movement of this piece! *-* No words...

Alfred Brendel ha definito questo concerto di Mozart "Una delle meraviglie del mondo." E lui lo suona meravigliosamente!

@Pierinopasquotti Sai se per caso la cadenza di questo movimento è originale di MOzart?
