  • sorry last comment should have been @MdbslEst1964

  • @Lizpettit :-)

  • It was definitely their sound engineer and not Cambridge's - someone who worked behind stage told me that. Also, I went on two of the concerts on the reunion tour - which were excellent but the first three or four songs of each had bad sound balance and it took them a while to get it right - (Festival Hall and Cambridge Corn Exchange). I was with a musician at the time who runs his own gigs and knows all about sound, so it wasn't just my opinion. They were still fantastic though - RIP Bert.

  • @Lizpettit Fantastic indeed Liz, thanks for the comment :-)

  • they still sound great here.love that descending bass and the twisted melody (like a lot of melodies on 'basket')..........jacqui has a nice head too for a woman her age

  • Pentangle in their zimmers, but still got the subtle touch. RIP Bert.

  • I really love the "Hunting song".

    Rest in Peace Mr. Jansch.

  • They were as good as ever but the sound balance was shockingly bad and their sound engineer should have been sacked - the amount of feedback and tinkering which went on during the set really spoiled it, even though they were obviously still excellent.

  • @Lizpettit Can't have been their own engineer for this gig. I went to five gigs on the reunion tour. Some of the venues were barns (especially Harrogate) but the sound was always excellent.

  • Pentangle still sound great, I saw them live in 69 and 70 what a treat!!
