Not these days I think you see whats going around the world. There are bigger problems in UN. First they have resolve all these problems then maybe they will look to this one :)
Hi I am fine, How are you everything good? I am from Uzbekistan and I have intention to visit the Aral Sea one day! There is an update from Kazakhstan side of Aral Sea( Norh Part) They have built a dam the water is filling slowly. From South Part which is in Uzbekistan nothing has been done, nothing can be done either.
@Bekzod34 You are living in Uzbekistan? btw the south sea will not dry up as the snowmelt and rain fall helps kept the eastern part of the south from dessicating.
rise of groundwater throughout the channel with the flooding of nearby settlements and highways. I have bee studying Aral Sea for long time. There is project called Ozbek Ota which considers join of the Caspian and Aral through the territory of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan which costs billions. It is a matter of time when two states will be ready for the project.
Even if they had done this the causes would catastrophic: violation of the flora and fauna in the areas on which to pass the channel; formation on the territory of Kazakhstan and Central Asia along the route of the channel arrays of swamps and marshes; loss of valuable fish species in the basin of the Ob River, which leads in particular to a breach of the traditional lifestyle of indigenous peoples of the Siberian North;
LegoGuy87 This is an proposаl which has been on the desk of certain people starting from the independency of post Soviet countries. There was a plan of Rotation of the Siberian rivers directed to towards the Aral Sea, but unfortunately the USSR collapsed and everything was halted for long.
@Bekzod34 look at LanaV6's comment and about teleporting water, you can bring water via pipeline from the Caspian Sea to the Aral Sea or redirect the rivers north like the Volga river to the Aral. Something like that
