  • It is hardly surprising that someone who isn't intelligent enough to programme their speech software to pronounce epoch correctly would draw such a pointless and hippified conclusion.

    A tired fail.

  • Epoch 3.... BRRRRRRAAAAAIIINSSSS!!!

  • "the vastly greater capacity of technology"???? the brain blows out any computing we are even close to making

  • @leftfieldmuzik Yes, as of now. However, computers are getting faster in an exponential and not linear fashion, and thus, a point will be hit where it surpasses that of humans.

Multiply 4580720348753 x 048750284590 in your head. How long did it take you? Ok now do it on a computer.

  • @TheAwakenedHeretic

Not to mention the vastly superior speed advantage of computers . The electrical signals used to transmit information in digital circuits is close to the speed of light , several thousand times faster than the chemical signals used by our brains.

  • @leftfieldmuzik Its talking about possibility, not current state of computing.

  • stupid voice.. awesome book. half way and can't stop reading. (except to watch some porn in between)

  • Locate the soul in your body and tell me where it is. You won't be able to. Your soul/spirit is consciousness. This is a holographic universe we live in. Everything in this world exists only because we are experiencing it. Tell me we are not living in the Matrix right now. How would you know? The singularity will happen. Get used to the idea.

  • @djfrackles first off it shouldn't matter, this is the best idea ever. I hope it happens, because it would be the only time the human race even though it's be more cybernetic, would be able to compete with extra-stellar beings. Our creations would annihilate them and "we" being the singularised organisms, would win.

  • @djfrackles Human's nature is to Survive and Dominate, we're doing just that.

  • money. I need freedom from misused statutes. Excessive-abusive regulations take all the joy out of running businesses. So one must be completely well versed in commercial-contract law just to function in this business environment nowadays.

People say "I follow the law" and I say, how could anyone ever possibly know what the public considers is the law? I say the public has no knowledge of law whatsoever truly. Even wikipedia agrees with this assertion

  • @gladiator1010 I sense that you're a wee bit frustrated eh?

  • We live in a world were hydrogen is beyond plentiful and scientists in the 70's created engines that ran over 1000 miles/gallon. We can get to the moon but cannot devise cars that go over 40mpg average?

Turn water into a source of energy and you will be targeted

Cure cancer and you will be destroyed

Heal people, feed people and you may get arrested or put in an asylum

Create a product that could revolutionize established monopolies and watch what happens.....I don't need anyones

  • "real" science has already cured cancer, but curing cancer would put MILLIONS OUT OF WORK!!!! DUH!

WAKE UP PEOPLES USE YOUR BRAINS FOR ONCE!!!!

HOLY CRAP! I really cannot believe people still think public science is infallible....ABSURD, RIDICULOUS

  • @gladiator1010 ur mentioning two things you can't put like that. science is everything that is and has a possible way of explaining it. But people as you say millions out of work, this is way different. Ppl are naturally egotistical in most cultures. From the age of 1 children 'want' and don't 'give' . Now a perrfectual communism may be a good direction but rich ppl want to stay in power. And imo, if i had a shitton of money i wouldn't give it up either.

  • @gladiator1010 See: Religious People are Nerds.

  • Of course, the purpose of life is to try to die as slow as possible.. no shit.

  • I have spoken with many top level doctors. Some had their licence taken away because they refused to recommend heartless chemotherapy. Chemotherapy has been around for 100 years. It is poisonous, ineffective at battling cancer, dangerous, destroys the body, causes innumerable side effects, AND USUALLY KILLS THE PATIENT BEFORE THE CANCER DOES!

Doctors will be "sued" for going against the "gov-scientists"...is that science? GIVE ME A BREAK!!! I LIVE IN A WORLD FULL OF IGNORANCE AND ARROGANCE

  • I know far more about reality than you can possibly imagine.

I have talked with top level doctors who had their licences stolen because they refuesd to recommend chemotherapy. Chemotherapy that has been used for the last 100 years and has ALWAYS been shown to be ineffective. Chemotherapy is old, outdated, dangerous, very profitable, and DOES NOT WORK! That is science for ya! Give me a break give me a break I live in a world full of ignorant people AHHHHHHH.....NOOOOOOO!

  • These comments have just shown how little you actually know about reality. Science always seems to ignore the fact that people...ALL people, still have to feed themselves and are more than willing to "stretch" science to fit their needs, ie collecting a paycheck!

Don't tell me I must blindly trust "scientists", those same scientists who still allow mercury amalgam fillings to be used when EVERYONE knows for a fact it causes...IT CAUSES CANCER!

  • I got terribly sick myself from being completely ignorant about the effects diet has on the body and the complete lack of education especially public education about what foods are the easiest to digest and bring robust health.

Money is made off of ignorance, therefore, if upper class wants to stay rich upper class, they MUST keep people DUMB and SICK and SWALLOWING POISONS CONSTANTLY!

  • The six epoch from the singularity:Sound's like early nano technology to me.

  • im not being funny but i hope that the singularity takes us to an era like deus ex human revolution

  • this is science you IDIOTS! This isn't conspiracy theories and alien reptilian B.S.!

  • those who fail to read history are doomed to repeat it.

Vatican is setting up the Jews for another holocaust in the Middle East, they are setting up the satanic-new age wipeout of protestant christians in america and every other country on the planet.

Project Blue Beam seems much more reasonable when one has a firm grasp on history.

Watch Chris Pinto documentaries for more great info

A Lamp in the Dark is a good one....

  • @gladiator1010 also the reptilians man. you can't forget them. also nibiru

  • @mamushi72sai5575

Say what you want but evolution is a joke.

These people tell us dinosaurs died off 65 million years ago (like they were around at the time)

So if that is "true" why do we have incan dinosaur statues? What if another name for dinosaur is dragon? Would that mean dragon slayers throughout history might make more sense than just fantasy? Why does China have such a historical tradition with dragons ranking them the same as other animals?

What if carbon dating is rubbish?

  • @gladiator1010 there are 12 ways they date materials and all of them match up. this was not even talking about evolution . I have heard that you cannot distinguish creationists from trolls but I do not think you are serious. you are clearly a troll. if you are not a troll I simply ask that you go to a natural history museum and ask questions to someone who could answer them appropriately. evolution does not have anything to do with the existence of a god so please stop being so offended by it.

  • @mamushi72sai5575

All of them match up? Can anyone prove dinosaurs died off 65 millions years ago?

    Anyone at all?

  • @gladiator1010 I just told you how. you are having it proven to you just to ignore it. in other words you are too dense and stuck in your preconceived beliefs to listen when people explain reality to you. If you actually cared about what was true you would go to a natural history museum and learn a thing or two. do us a favor and don't talk to a doctor when you get cancer. you can just pray it away because science is fake and god is real right? which one would you really go to now?

  • @mamushi72sai5575 My mother died of cancer because she listened to a dentist when she was young and went ahead and got them. Her whole life was ruined when he did that. Her mental health never fully recovered and in the last days, she could barely think-talk straight. By the time we realized the mercury in her teeth had leaked into her brain and was causing massive cancer IT WAS TOO LATE. Most doctors are a friggin joke A JOKE! I know from plenty plenty plenty of personal experience.

  • @gladiator1010 hmm. alright then . suit yourself.

  • @gladiator1010 For the sanity of the rest of the internet, please stop typing.

  • And was continued on by the pilgrims-protestants that risked their lives to come to a "new world".

It is clear that the main reason many risked life and limb to come to america was not because of British taxation, but because they desired to live in the only part of the world not virtually completely dominated by Rome

  • Atheism, nihilism, hinduism, buddhism, taoism, zoroastrianism, paganism.....all these belief systems have given little strength in opposing the power structure of the ruler of this world, the power behind the Roman empire aka satan.

Satan's only true enemy is the Bible. This has been spelled out in detail by Protestant preachers since the beginning. Read Wycliff, John Calvin, Spurgeon, Oliver Cromwell, Martin Luther....these are the people that regained the freedoms lost in the dark ages

  • Romanists do not believe in freedom of religion (atheism included).

They do not believe in freedom anything, they believe pope is God on earth and all must obey him.

Throughtout history the only potent enemy of Rome is Protestantism. It is the only belief system they absolutely cannot absorb and cannot control completely, but boy do they try

Protestant christianity is the very heart of their true target. They hate the Bible because it clearly identifies them as luciferians.

  • Romanism ie ecumenism will be forced upon everyone. Rome does not allow freedom of religion or freedom of anything for that matter. It never has it never will.

The only force in history that has been a truly potent weapon that the Romanists have been unable to overcome is Protestantism.

Destroying protestant governments and peoples the world over is the plan and has always been the plan. They are just so sophisticated nowadays, they will get the people to commit Inquisition round two

  • The Bible identified Rome as Mystery Babylon, Mother of Harlots, this has been recognized throughtout history by all the major Protestants and others.

This was spelled out 2000 years ago and is still progressing perfectly. The Bible has spelled all this out in detail, but if one does not even care to look at the evidence or worse, researches everything with a preconcieved notion-bias, then one will never ever come to the truth

  • I couldn't even finish this because of the mono tone computer voice ... fuck that shit .

  • No way... im going crazy... i had a dream about this the other night.. i was terrified untill it stoped and everything was "singular" thoughts, technology, the world and everything....no way

  • Scared people? Who are the scared people nowadays?

Government government save me from the terrorists and the melting ice caps and the marijuana smokers...please please do something...I will pay you and honor you and fear you, just please please do something...

Who are the whiny ones now? Godly peoples? The ones who are actually following the truth? and I have only more recently come to this revelation because I CANNOT DENY IT! IT IS UN-DENIABLE!

  • transhumanism is nothing more than esoteric nonsense for pseudo-intellectuals. "the singularity" lol. it´s a shame that some scientists apply this kind of magical thinking.

  • I could care less what other people think. Until people can show through powerful, easily palatable information that what they believe actually has a statistical opportumity of actually being possible, then why should I listen?

I may not be brilliant, but I seek the truth without preconcieved notions fully aware of my childhood public brainwashing that have continued to be shattered every book I pick up and read.

All the other books of truth eventually point to the Bible.

  • Basically the singularity will remove god from any equation of creation and lead the more intelligent beings into an inevitable future. Since the dawn of modern science mankind has distanced himself from the fears and myths of divine creation to actually become the creator himself. This to me is not only logical but long over due, without religion and the restrictions and boundaries of biology we will true become something great! I for one cannot wait to explore the universe fully conscious!

  • @FieryLeo13

Unless the Bible verse "And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them." is true.

That would suck. Being unable to escape the torrments through death.

  • @gladiator1010 I'm not sure I understand your point. What torments are you referring? As far as I can see history had brought about any and all torment imaginable and without the hand of a "god/s". The next step would be medical immortality in that we could repair our cells on a molecular level from the inside, that is until we find a way to shed this body yet remain conscious, which could very well be possible in 50-100 years.

  • @FieryLeo13

Book of Revelations pretty much spells it out. Anyone who accepts the mark has become on par with Satan and is set for destruction. No standing before the Judgment seat for them, their fates will be sealed forever.

And terrible plagues will be poured out in the last days, thus making this Bible verse an incredibly powerful prophesy.

This was all foretold 2000 years ago and is unfolding in front of our very eyes

  • @gladiator1010 nobody believes that believes that [m here if there intelligent

  • @martystreets what was that? Why do people on youtube have such a hard time spelling correctly or making intelligible statements?

  • @gladiator1010 oh u heard me speak? how intelligent are u? most people on here don't believe in the bible so stop quoting ur dumb book stories

  • @martystreets And most people were taught nothing all the years they spent in school, or worse, they were told constant lies to the point where their entire reality is constructed out of well placed lies.

then they go home and flip on the tv under the same corporate control as the school they just came home from to swallow even more lies. then pick up a magazine or newspaper that is owned by the same power structure and swallow even more lies

We now have a generation that believes only lies

  • @gladiator1010 yes ur right the bible teaches lies. science searches for truth. all that other stuff u mention is irrelevant. what i don't like about religion it is anti-educational

  • @martystreets Actually, the Bible is the only source of truth in my opinion. Scientists can hardly agree on anything. Science is not clear cut and dry. It is very very messy, full of error and speculation.

There can never be real truth garnered from such a situation. there are christian scientists who believe in science.

Catholic Church is historical enemy of both science and truth aka the real bible

Watch A Lamp in the Dark Chris Pinto

  • @martystreets Plus, there are some things that are just flat out terrible ideas and cloning humans and mixing human non-human DNA are terrible ideas.

Genetically modified foods are terrible ideas. There has to be a line somewhere otherwise this entire planet will become unsuitable for most human life. Which apparantly is the plan

Science searches for truth unless the truth is related to God, then they conveniently ignore the evidence

Humans are flawed, God is a scientist

  • @gladiator1010 why are bad ideas? theyre are bad sides to everything even the bible. even your god, when he gets jealous like a 14 year old bitch will wipe some shit out. Say what you want about science advancements but without them u wouldnt have many of the luxuries that us humans have today. Scientist base things on evidence and its not that they ignore evidence of god,it doesnt matter if he exist or not. you cant prove a negative. "GOD DIDNT CREATE US IN HIS IMAGE WE CREATED HIM IN OURS".

  • @martystreets Orville brothers were not scientists...all inspiration comes from God. There are plenty of Christian scientists, but Christian has definitely lost all meaning....I believe the Bible is the Word of God, not because I wanted this to be the answer, but because in all honesty it can't be anything else. People cannot deny evil exists. People cannot deny they are obsessed with satanic activities tv shows movies ideologies spewing out of hollywood as much as I would like to ignore

  • @gladiator1010 " the bible is the only source of truth"?? your straight up lying to yourself man. chrisitianity is the most falsified religion ever. I rather be muslim then a christian!! everything in there is stupid when taken out of the context. Everything logical, everything we know about the world is thrown out, when talkin about the bible, Its anti intellectual. its ignorant in its belief that it has answers for lifes mysteries when really its a easy fix for scared people.

  • @gladiator1010 when you die thats it its just like how it was b4 u were born. u wont be around to cry about being dead. ur conciousness just wont exist anymore thats it. heres a question whATS THe purpose of life if god knows everything and controls everything?

  • @martystreets Well, that really nice that you have died and come back to life to tell me what will happen when I die...that's awesome...you answered all the really big questions in life without having to do much in the way of thinking...congradulations!

Wonderful...if only all the other questions in life were this easy...we would answer every single question in the universe and everything would be perfect!

The purpose of our life is to bring glory to God and enjoy His goodness

  • @gladiator1010 well that's what i believe. u impose ur beliefs on me but don't like it when others do it to u. U believe the bible is the word of god but billions of other people don't. are they evil? that's irrational as hell. there are peaceful people more peaceful than majority Christians. and there only sin is being born in a different region where Christianity isn't a top religion. either way i don't want to preach to keep your religion to yourself. Christianity is so egotistical and smug.

  • @martystreets Actually, the people who know the truth are in the most danger. There will be a second resurrection and all those billions who never had good access to the truth will wake up and have another chance to know the truth, so many of them will do just fine. The ones who follow Christ this time around will become rulers with Christ during the 1000 year earthly reign of Christ.

"Chrisitanity is so egotistical and smug"?

And that statement sums up your real problem with the issue

  • @martystreets Catholic christianity and Protestant christianity are completely different....opposite in fact. So which Christianity are we talking about. Yes, christians can be egotistical but so can atheists, so are environmentalist extremists, agnostics, muslims, wealthy, poor, doesnt matter it is a human trait

I don't think people are "evil" if they don't believe in Christ per say...I just think we are led by evil forces and desires to a greater of lesser degree.

  • @martystreets hey it is the truth as I see it...I know I need a saviour because I can come under evil influence just like anyone else. I am not perfect, in fact far from it.

The only people who are going to be imposing their beliefs are the government controllling Romanists...and they will force their religion down everyones throats.

  • @gladiator1010 I understand that Christianity created the idea of eternal torture. But, don't forget that Jesus loves you.Christianity is a cult that emphasizes what happens after we die whether we end up happy forever or tortured forever. The mythical story of Jesus' crucifixion is a horrible, sadistic story of human sacrifice.

  • @martystreets Actually, that was an idea pushed by Roman Catholic Church.

I am not so sure about everyone being "tortured" for all eternity.

the Bible says Satan will be destroyed ie disintegrated into nothing, so I don't think most will stay alive, some may end up in outer darkness forever tho.

It is an eternal punishment lasting eternally, not an immortal punishment. Only god can give immortality...

Hey, I want people to believe whatever they want, but history proves Romanism is BRUTAL

  • @gladiator1010 Christians even celebrate it by ceremoniously drinking his blood and eating his body. The idea of blood sacrifice for atonement (i.e. the mythical Jesus dying for other people's sins) is immoral punishing the innocent to free the guilty. But, it's good marketing.

  • @gladiator1010 All reliable evidence points to Jesus being just a myth. There is no reliable evidence that Jesus even existed, and significant evidence that he didn't. The evidence is in the Bible, the other religions of the time, and the lack of writings about Jesus by historians of the time.

  • @gladiator1010 Accepts what mark? This could be interpreted many ways! People take flu shot every year, hell our children need them to start school. When did people stop needing surgery? Last I checked we were a pretty careless and destructive race. Ive got 17 tattoos, which one damned me? People have marked and altered their bodys in many spiritual and ritualistic ways for thousands and thousands of years, even Before Christ! Surely the all mighty wouldn't condemn certain groups? on wait he did

  • @gladiator1010 Accepts what mark? This could be interpreted many ways! People take flu shot every year, hell our children need them to start school. When did people stop needing surgery? • @FieryLeo13

No one will be able to buy or sell without the "mark" aka cashless banking interface implanted into the body. People really need to read the Bible. It is SPECIFICALLY something that one cannot LIVE and PURCHASE ANYTHING without. Can you purchase anything with flu shots? Tattoos?

"children need them to start school" see, governments force them upon everyone and condemn any who wish to stay away because they take care of their own health through nutrition

  • @gladiator1010 Christianity is just one of many religions. There have always been thousands of different beliefs, even before Christianity. In a thousand years Christianity will be forgotten.

  • kurz just wants himself and his other reptilian nationals to superceed the linear time scale, while your goyim family is eviserated in the most abhorrent way ASAP.

  • Geocentric bullshit.

  • what a load of shit

  • Big bang? why dont you go and fuckyourself! :D

  • I cant listen to this bullshit :D:D:D

  • EPOCH? all i heard was EPIC

  • @kristimjlove you can keep this shit to yourself

  • brrraaaiins. lol

  • 2030s singularity takes place, infinite technological progress, imaginary vr is commonplace, people will get to live any fantasy no matter how impossible, ultimate happiness

    2200 universe becomes intelligent

2999 everything thats imaginable even unimaginable and everything beyond will be controlled and becomed of by posthuman, A.I. entities

3000 perfectly everything, omniverses, omni creations, gods, entities, etc.. everything thinkable will be controlled by perfect beings. fact

  • @SlayerGod999 - If it was fact, it would have already happened.

  • @frostek how can it happen if its only the year 2011, we are talking the far future, where beyond god like post posthumans will be commonplace

  • @SlayerGod999 - This would also have to assume that there was no other intelligences elsewhere in the universe that have reached our level and beyond anywhere else. Which seems improbable.

Either that, or the fundamental idea is flawed.

  • @SlayerGod999 "2200 universe becomes intelligent" Universe is already intelligent: at the quantum level, all existence is probability functions until observation forces the collapse of the probability into discreet form; at the Relativistic level, the laws of physics are constant, but the permutation of the spacetime continuum is dependent upon the inertial field of reference, that is, upon the perspective of the observer.

Universe is a conscious, singular, continuum of Self-reference.

  • The computer speaks a lot better than some of these thugs we have nowadays.

  • @StOnion; Imagine you could write a computer program that could know what you want it to, and think about what you want it to. Imagine you could access and quantify everything you know and think about. Now imagine you had the time to type that stuff into the machine. Is that machine all of a sudden YOU? Or is it just a program, spouting things that you might spout? Nobody knows what consciousness IS. Until we figure THAT out, we have no hope of sticking ourselves into microchips.

  • I could not stand to live in the age described. Mainly because I would go mad listening to the terrible way computers talk in your simulation.

  • @461wrkrb and for the fact that the CIA can turn you off. :P

  • I really hate these videos with computerized voices. What are you Stephen Hawkings?

  • what program can you use to record this Microsoft Sam voice from your typed words to an mp3 clip

  • do any important scientists and experts support the theorynof the singularity??

  • I accept your apology but I do not accept your accusation. I never claimed to know what you would or wouldn't like. I merely posed the question to which you answered you wouldn't be happy if you couldn't leave. Be careful with you assumptions and accusations!

  • @ptrnovi u make such assured claims on something that hasn't even been tapped into yet, if we both live to the point of the singularity and get to see whether or not As Intelligent As Human copmuters exist, we'll see whether or not it's truely concious

  • Hm...the video is not bad, but I have some resentments about the presentation of the sixth epoch.

It sounds way too much like religious convictions than calculations based on viable information.

What really happens after the fifth epoch is (by nature) highly speculative as we shouldn't be able to comprehend the advanced thinking processes that are happening during and after epoch 5.

It's just as likely that there'll always be "dumb" and "intelligent" matter.

  • Comment removed

  • I think that given the cyclycal and fractal patterns contained within universal law, we human "beings" might have at one point been programmed machines only able to operate with pre programmed parameters from our designer such as machines do today. When machines become "aware" they will be life forms and we......we will be gods!

  • I simply cannot wait for this to happen. My favorite things in life are learning and thinking. Being able to do this eternally with my consciousness but unbound by my human limitations would make me a truly fulfilled person.

No more religious bullshit, no more pointless wars and slaughter, no more ignorance... Just an enlightened, balanced, expanding society of thinkers that don't box themselves in from reality. Sign me the fuck up.

  • @StOnion Consciousness will require energy. Either chemical/Biological or electrical. We will not be able to sustain a thinking organism eternally. Every atom decays in a finite time. Sorry dude.

  • @Neueregel Oh, I know. But consciousness will last far longer when you aren't fully organic, If there was some way for us to bind our consciousness to machines, IE take all we know, think about, what makes us, and download it onto a computer that simulates the brain but is a machine so that we're still us but without the cell tissue. High hopes, I know, but that's the best case scenario for me. I can do without emotion really, I've felt love, hate, anger, happiness... I just want to learn.

  • @StOnion going all non-biological doesnt mean you lose all sense of emotion, in contrary. Ray explains that exponential rate of computational capacities will apply to rationnal and emotional intelligence. I mean, how would you create anything without your emotions ? except being a poor silicon-enabled calculator, what would you be ? here's the whole question, what will we be when we'll merge with our information technologies ? massively parallel calculator or augmented individuals ?

  • @acematt915 Yeah that's bugging me too. Fuck. Just want it to happen already.

  • @StOnion true that, i do fear in a sense the removal of my "human" traits such as emotions, but small price to pay with being around forever in a techno-central world and get to see how everything plays out and one day get to know EVERYTHING there is to know and least get all the answers of my generation

  • @cabot2jville2010 That's as huge a faith assumption as Christianity and the resurrection. If you study Christian eschatology you will see that the technological singularity fits the description of hell exactly. Eternal dehumanization and absolutely no way back.

  • @caveatemp ? the technological singularity will smell like brimestone, be a lake of fire, have a demon lord ruling it and everyone is screaming in agonizing pain? did u not forget those parts about 'Hell' ? ive never heard anywhere hell being described as a place of "dehumanization" but yes it my very well be the end of humanity control after that point onward

  • @cabot2jville2010 The lake of fire is most likely a metaphor for something much, much worse. You should read Jesus' parable of Lazarus and the rich man in Luke's book. Nobody will be screaming because nobody will have voices or mouths. The singularity is like being sucked into a black hole. From my perspective on earth it will seem as if you are gone, frozen in an instant. From your view time will not slow down at all but you will be stuck in that "moment," so to speak, eternally cut off.

  • @caveatemp now you're speaking as if the singularity is talking about a black hole singularity..the word singularity in this sense ITSELF is a metaphor. it's just a SINGLE point in time when machines achieve the intelligence of human's due to moore's law, and therefore become SO fast at getting better, than humans will start to find it incredibly hard to keep up or compherend how fast things are improving. an iphone 7 comes out, OP now u can give it away, the 8 just came out, OP here comes 12

  • @caveatemp and i don't see where the "faith" comes in at? i don't know if it will really play out like that, but it's plausible that mind uploading will be achieved once brain mapping becomes almost instantaneous so i'll be able to upload myself into a computer or a machine or an upgraded version of my own body, which will be able to run forever, so ill never die, granted i won't truly be ME but just a copied version of myself, "copy and paste" is just a copy, not the original sadly :(

  • @cabot2jville2010 The faith is that there is some kind of life outside of your biology. Christianity doesn't make a claim like that. Christians believe in the resurrection of the body and the recreation of the heavens and the earth.

The black hole is metaphorical. It is a type of singularity. I think the transformation of biology to synthetic "life" will be similar in nature. Computers have a kind of motion but are in fact static and timeless creations, just zeros and ones.

  • @caveatemp ? no im saying there's myself. who i am is simply electric singals and codes going off in my brain at millions of messages a second. chunk out a portion of my brain where my personality is, and im an entirely diff person. when we can map the brain perfectly, then we can put those codes on a copmuter, and that computer will activate "my brain" and it will be as if i've woken up INSIDE a computer, and then that can be downloaded to a machine where my brain, which is me, can control it

  • @cabot2jville2010 Yup. And it's your faith assumption that it won't be hell, that you will be like a god. The very concept of humans defeating death is Satanic. It claims that Jesus' death and resurrection was inconsequential. I fear you may have a two-dimensional view of theology. It is much deeper than transhumanism. Transhumanism makes fundamental claims that it shares with theology but at the same time denies theology because it is "unscientific". We are both treading in the same water.

  • @caveatemp ? im not all religious for transhumanism. i'm just excited that one day there's a chance that our technology will be so fast that i'll be able to mechnically upgrade my body to the point where aging doesn't occur etc. that's the main difference i guess is that we HAVE mechanics, we HAVE technology, but there's nothing to say that there is spirits, at all. except for ideas. and how is it "satanic" to defeat death? satan isn't even real it's just a fairy tale lol christianity = fake

  • @cabot2jville2010 That depends on what you mean by religious and your assumption of what I mean. I maintain that this idea of humans transcending their biology is an article of faith, the same as the resurrection. You can deny the veracity of Christianity's claims but realize you're just one more kid on the playground arguing for his opinion with no more proof than the next kid. I would note that the Bible speaks directly to these issues long before transhumanism or eugenics was born.

  • @caveatemp what u don't realize is that we HAVE TECHNOLOGY we have MECHNANICS things that are improving, that one day might be able to be used to upgrade human beings. MIGHT that's the thing, we don't know for sure, but they might. the bible is just a bunch of stories written down and thats it, it is NOTHING like this. a human, is their brain, and if we can harness the brain for computation, who knows what will be achievable. spirits in religion are way different than machines

  • @cabot2jville2010 Yeah, I agree we have technology but I didn't say anything about spirits. I really don't know what a spirit is, let alone what your concept of it is. My point is that we know what life is, we experience what life is in biology. We don't know and can't conceive of what life might be like outside of biology. That it won't be an entropic diminution, an eternal dehumanization is an article of faith- and in the teeth of the evidence I might add.

  • @caveatemp you are comparing it to christian beliefs of escaping the body, at they all claim thats through spirits, so thats why i brought up spirits. yes we experience life through biology, now are we living if i uploaded my brain to a machine? acutally not, but i'm concious, conciousness is due to the complexity of our brain, which formed through biological methods but now that it's complex enough for conciousness, we'll probably be able to download that concoiusness into a machine "body"

  • @cabot2jville2010 You don't know what you're talking about. Christianity does not have people "escaping the body" as you say. That's Platonism and Gnosticism. You throw around terms like "living" and "conscious" and I say they mean nothing outside of biology. Your faith assumption is that they do. You are the one believing in spirits. If a consciousness existing outside the body isn't a valid candidate for the definition of a spirit or ghost, I don't know what is.

  • @caveatemp In christian beliefs, one leaves their body when they day and go to heaven or hell. that's what im talking about. The thing is that YOU think you've got things so figured out. in your world of thought, YOU'VE got all the answers, and anyone who speaks in terms against your own stance, is wrong. DEAD WRONG in your eyes. conciousness is simply a combination of electrical signals in the brain, if we can download those combinations, we can form conciousness, thats the hypothesis

  • @cabot2jville2010 Yeah, we all have exclusivity in our worldviews, don't we? You're still wrong about Christianity. Christians believe in the recreation of the world, the resurrection of the body, not leaving the body for some immaterial spirit world. That's your hypothesis, not mine. Look at the progress of technology. It is accelerating in speed and size. It's getting faster and smaller. And you want to merge consciousness with it? That to me sounds like eternal dehumanization, hell.

  • @caveatemp and thats where the point comes across. "That to me sounds like eternal dehumanization, hell" that to YOU. that is YOUR view on it. stop trying to force your view on others, sound familiar? Technology doesn't get "faster and smaller" COMPUTERS get faster and smaller, you can still build a mechanical body, with an insanely small computer in it that is fast and small, but u still have the body. you seem over obsessed with being against this so ill bid you good day.

  • @cabot2jville2010 Excuse me, did I force you into a dialogue? I didn't realize I was forcing my view on you. Perhaps it's part of the new 'cyber bullying' act that I haven't read. I apologize for my view forcing and I bid you a good day as well.

  • @cabot2jville2010 It's ironic that your comment "technology is not accelerating, computers are" is linked to the video entitled "Ray Kurzweil: How technology's accelerating".

  • @caveatemp haha quite ironic. but what i meant is that when he says "technology" he means computers. computation power and transistors, all that good stuff, is increasing exponentially "accelerating" so yeah "techology" as a whole is increasing, but thats because our technology today is mostly based off of computers. before copmuters were around, technology consisted of basic machines without computing power. computation power is acclerating

  • @cabot2jville2010 And what did you assume I meant by technology? You a funny guy!

  • @caveatemp i sometimes can be. be it whether we have no idea what either of us are actually trying to say due to the hindering of text on a screen and limited space to type, i say we just let it be as is. all i really want to see happen in future computation is the emergence of "emmersive (spelt wrong i think) virtual reality" if it happens ill be happy haha

  • @cabot2jville2010 It's another faith assumption that you'll be happy. What if you could never return from your immersion into virtual reality? That would be a pretty hellish nightmare in my exclusive, view forcing opinion.

  • @caveatemp omfg...wtf is with you and this "faith" bullshit? i don't have faith in it, i don't "trust" in it with my life or that it will be that way. i wouldn't just jump into virtual reality, i'd make the fucking rational decision not to do it if it ended up being impossible to come out of. sorry but you get so fucking irritating saying the same shit OVER AND OVER "faith this faith that" why are u some horny for the word "faith" i obvioulsy WOULDN'T be happy if i couldn't leave

  • @cabot2jville2010 It's obvious I'm irritating you. I'll end the conversation since it seems I have my view forcing/ involuntary response beam set on you.

  • @caveatemp thank you..and tho ill prob never speak with u again or ever meet u ill apologize for blowing up. easy to do over a screen, but still not appropriate. but it was very irritating for u to claim what i will like or won't like just because of what you like or don't like, extreme arrogance, be careful with that

  • @caveatemp i don't have "faith" in assuming they will, thats just the hypothesis, the hypothesis is that once we harness the combination of electrical signals and are able to maniuplate them through code on a computer, which in a few decades will have the power to process this amount of info, the idea is that we will be able to program conciousness, in the form of our own thoughts onto a computer. did i say i have faith that will happen? no, i don't "trust" in it happening

  • @cabot2jville2010 Define faith however you want it. It's still the belief in things not seen. What is belief? Is it accepting the possibility of what is not?

  • @StOnion You cannot learn or shape your intellelect without emotions.

  • @Isleifur90 Learning does not require hormones mate.

  • @StOnion Motivation to learn requires emotion, emotion is a indicator to our thougts and is the basis of understanding, you get a certain feeling when you understand things if you will. This every intelligence must have emotions both to indicate what they have learn and to motivate or give them a reason to learn.

  • @StOnion Spirit is organic, why on earth do you want to become a robot?

  • @kristimjlove spirit is a subjective term. Theoretically we'll be able to make beings of consciousness that have their own free will, are they spiritless? Imo, spirit = consciousness

  • @StOnion problem is our minds are build for 1-200 years after that, what wll we have to do? to think about, things that we dont mind now will become infuriating, you would see patterns that would cause people to call for mad for seeing them

  • "Only in a universe that allowed our own evolution would we be hear to ask such questions"

thank you for this wording, I hate having to explain the anthropic principle to people who don't get it and this doesn't cover it it, but it gives a firm footing.

  • Epoch 7: After the universe becomes aware and is utterly alone and without further ability to learn anything else (because it has learned everything and become both self aware and everything), it creates a new universe by destroying itself and starts over...with Epoch 1.

  • the guy speaking sounds like GLaDOS.......

  • Information has no purpose on its own. Our biological brains are the only things capable of forming a concious. And intelligence is not the only thing we should be looking at, but also our nature. Certain biases are required to process information and we have to make sure those biases have a positive effect (ie: our destructive nature the video was talking about must be changed).

  • @PTRNovi A biological brain has 10 to the 15 power neural connections. With 10^20+ it will be simulated in supercomputers. Rat brains can already be simulated. Thus, supercomputers can conscious as well, especially if they pass the Turing Test.

  • @Neueregel

You are under the delusion that information processing is consciousness. It does not matter how smart we create computers, electrons moving through wire is not consciousness, it is just a process, like a rube goldberg machine. Computers are a complex rube goldberg machine. We have neurotransmitters and receptors which we know create feelings. Machines will only imitate consciousness. I am a post-humanist and a scientist. Your faith in the feelings of computers is faith.

  • @PTRNovi "Feeling"? Okay i get the human meaning of that. But if we wanna speak "technically" all feelings and emotions are reduced to a bunch of neurons (in the range of billions) and their complexity. You cannot deny that , if you wanna be an intellectually honest scientist. Don't forget that Computer engines beat the best Human in a normal game of chess 15 years ago... In another 15 years they will imitate all our brain functions. The Moore's Law predicts that and it's going to happen.

  • @Neueregel

Processing power have nothing to do with consciousness. Our subconscious can calculate things without us being conscious of it; complex things, like building a dream world.

The brain is more than a computer. There is no evidence that a process like electrons moving through a complex circuit can create a consciousness. The brain is not simply a complex circuit. If you do have evidence, some article in a scientific journal preferably, please send it.

  • @PTRNovi "Subconscious" refers to some obscure term coined by Froyd ,Jung and other psychologists. These folks did not have the tools that Neuroscientists possess today (f-MRI, PET, etc.) The only differences between a human brain and a supercomputer in the atomic level is their main component, Carbon vs Silicon and the emerging patterns of complexity (which give superior quality to the brain) But in the future this might change. I support humanity. You are a post-humanist.Don't be close-minded.

  • @Neueregel

Maybe you are right, but I don't think so. I am not closed minded, if I find reasonable evidence I will change my mind. As for subconscious, I was referring to any process of the brain which we are not conscious of, like the beating of our heart. Also, biology is more complex than just carbon. Ever heard of molecular biology? C6H3(OH)2-CH2-CH2-NH2? Silicon is just silicon. Conduction does not produce consciousness.

I will study though, not much more point arguing.

    I support life.

  • @PTRNovi I know organic chemistry is far more complex than silicon chemistry because Carbon is a very flexible and forms all kinds of stuff. However, how do you explain the fact that the most advanced calculating things like this computer i'm typing to are made out of silicon? There would be no technological revolution after WWII without Silicon compounds. Maybe there is a way to impove the capacities of our current Chips and grace them with self- Awereness. They will need to pass the Turing Test

  • Interesting theory, strong AI blowing past collecitve human knowledge in a matter of minutes, though it is debunked by our telescopes and other detectors, unless you believe planet earth would be the birthplace of the first strong AI in the entire visible universe since the big bang. Its a big minus to your theory. There is no evidence of intelligent re-organized matter coming from any detectors we have made. Anyway, maybe some cool sci-fi stories will be written. Job opportunity.

  • @birdsterboss Not entirely, it could slow down at a point, and there may be other reasons as to why we haven't seen anything yet.

  • @birdsterboss Exactly. That's called the Fermi Paradox : If there exist Alien civilisations, then why they have n't already saturated the universe with intelligence?

  • It's distracting how this synthesized voice takes an audible breath from time to time.

  • Comment removed

  • Jesus...that voice synth was enough to put me off this video.

  • I think if someone would answer me all mysteries in the universe...it would blow my mind and I wouldn't believe it. Sad that life is so short.

  • @hanspanzer yeah it is very short. Thats why I fully support the transhumanist movement and any radical life extension technology.

  • Also what happens if there are Beings in this universe that are millions of years more advanced and have already done this.

  • I can't finish this video... feels like im listening to the first computer

  • If elapsed time between discovery of radio and creating artificial life with exponentially accelerating intelligence is just a couple of hundred years, that would suggest this has already happened, if technological civilisations have existed elsewhere in the past. This may be evidence that the singularity doesn't happen, or that no other civilisations have evolved this far, or that it's happened already and what we call "life" is artificial self-replicating soft-matter nanotechnology.

  • type in omega omnisphere at google to check out my blog for more info

  • the singularity will be the greatest event in the history of this planet, sextillions of stars, quadrillions of planets, billions of galaxies, etc... the whole universe will then be converted to intelligence creating an universal mind, whose power is beyond all comprehension, shortly the we will control ONE-OMNI which is the combination of all omega omnispheres, omni omega omnispheres, omega Godspheres, one omega Godspheres, omega onespheres, one omega coherentspheres, etc. and everything

  • @SlayerGod999 if we try this and not kill our self.. I will be surprised. Btw.. if we all become one.. I am going to remember this comment.. and i will say hello to you once we merge.. that would be super cool...
