Actually there's kind of a small mistake. Earth actually isn't right in the middle of the habitable zone. It's towards the warm end actually! If it was much closer it'd fry, but it could comfortably be quite a bit further away, and it'd be colder, but habitable. Earth might well be a relatively warm world compared to other earths.
So perhaps aliens don't have grey skin, but a thick coat of fur or feathers.
Some scientists amaze me. They discover planets completely unlike our own and have no problem with the unusual conditions they believe exist there. Then completely discount the possibility of life being there because life as we know it on Earth could not exist there. Who is to say that all life has to be just like it is here? Scientist thought it impossible for life to exist on the Ocean floor, without photosynthesis. It does. Who is to say all life has to be carbon based or need oxygen?

If we all sat about accepting 'facts' then the World would still be flat and antibiotics would not exist. Scientist are and should be the ultimate 'dreamers', for it is their dreams, ideas that bring us new 'facts' after the scientific method proves their hypothesis. Without dreams of new ideas, science stagnates.

Actually there's kind of a small mistake. Earth actually isn't right in the middle of the habitable zone. It's towards the warm end actually! If it was much closer it'd fry, but it could comfortably be quite a bit further away, and it'd be colder, but habitable. Earth might well be a relatively warm world compared to other earths.
So perhaps aliens don't have grey skin, but a thick coat of fur or feathers.

Some scientists amaze me. They discover planets completely unlike our own and have no problem with the unusual conditions they believe exist there. Then completely discount the possibility of life being there because life as we know it on Earth could not exist there. Who is to say that all life has to be just like it is here? Scientist thought it impossible for life to exist on the Ocean floor, without photosynthesis. It does. Who is to say all life has to be carbon based or need oxygen?
