  • Where do you get that Cork Underlay, Australia is there an online store, for your hobby store I'm in Perth? Thanks. I am building the same type of layout, but 8 ft by 6ft board.

  • Hi There, could you tell me where you got your cork underlay from.

    Cheers Pete

  • great um can u tell me how do u make ur layout so straight and what size board have u got

  • Apparently you can control up to 50 trains using DCC... but the particular controller i have will only have to power to drive 3 trains at once...

  • @alanburchill yer u cant controll 50 it can have 50 adresses in but if u get a bigger suitable power surply you can controll 9

  • can i set up one dcc controller to 3 loops ???

  • @jakclarkstudios @jakclarkstudios iv got one dcc controller set to 4 loops with points and crossovers, works fine, i use wired fishplates 1 red wire comming from one, 1 black wire comming from one, on each loop connect them all up underneath , all the reds together and same with black, then run 2 wires back to the control unit ( red to red on controller, same with black to black on controller hence all track live, pop decoders in loco and off ye go

  • @jakclarkstudios - You can set up all the tracks on your layout to one DCC controller - that's the idea behind DCC. Just get rid of all your insulating fishplates at the same time.

  • HI Mate,

I am also just starting to build my first model railway layout in my garage, could you tell me where you purchased the cork road bed, i am in sydney

    Cheers
