Nate died in X-Man #75 May, 2001. I do agree that comic deaths rarely have any meaning since they always seem to come back. Of course if they didn't we'd lose ALOT of great characters for good.

To be technical about both their situations. Nate Grey did not "die" his molecular structure fused with everyone human on Earth. So he lives on in everyone. And Conner was rejuvenated in FC:Legions of Three Worlds # 4.

Nate was without a shadow of a doubt the best character i have ever seen/played! The most powerful mutant EVER! I play marvel role playing game & played nate he is so awesome! Did you know that he could enter a mind & mimic their powers!!!!! When i played him i had all his powers plus i "borrowed" (hehe) cyclops' optic blast & mystique shapeshifting not that he needed them! My favourite move had to be the T.K Punch! I knocked the hulk out of the atmosphere!!!! Truly a great character!

Superman's past has changed alot in the comics, and lately because of smallville to atract new readers. Superman's origin was way different when they first made him.He couldnt even fly in the first issues. Then later, it was made that he was superboy in his teen days. That was changed as well later when they said he was never superboy, nor he ever was a hero. But superboy was an inspiration for the future team legion, and so they changed it again.
Oh man you are so right, finally someone else that sees it the way I see it. Those 2 are my favorite characters of all time. X-Man is better than Cable and Superboy is better than Superman. They so need to bring them back.
