Hello! I am the Founder of Vinyl Record Day (2002) and thank you for recognizing VRD, the only non profit dedicated to the preservation of the cultural influences, recordings and cover art of the vinyl record. I appreciate your video and hope this year in 2011 you celebrate Vinyl Record Day again.
@aldiakaroofus The Let it Be box was a lucky find. Mind you, I remember seeing stacks of them in the shops when they were first released back in 1970. I should have bought a bunch of them back then!
Hi, I have also the Let It Be Box with book. Since I found out that this LP had come out in this edition I decided to get it. I must say that for me was very difficult because I live in Venezuela, in fact had never met anyone that had this. Thank God and the internet I could buy it this year. Having this box can not compare to having it as a single.
The book is great but I must clarify that brings no interviews as you said, but rather are dialogues taken from the album recording sessions. The pictures are amazing, full color with a spectacular shine. The version of my Let It Be is British and is one of my most prized pieces in my collection Beatle. I'm starting a YouTube channel where I post videos of my collection soon, and would like to have you as a follower of this. I send my best wishes from Venezuela
@shekespearecub Thank you for watching! I'm almost afraid to open my good Beatle book because I have 2 other copies where the book fell apart so they are in pieces. Glad that you were able to find a British copy! I'll subscribe to your channel!
Next time I go vinyl digging, I'm gonna take a inside every album cover because I my be in for a surprise lol! Those Beatles vinyls are sweet especially the "Let It Be" box set! Never imagined a regular album would also be released as a box set edition too.
@Vinylrecordsneverdie The oddest thing that I've found in an LP jacket is an old stock certificate. Unfortunately, it wasn't Microsoft or something of value (:->
Very cool to get that Beatles LP in the Beach Boys cover, I'd say whoever owned it, put it back in the wrong sleeve, maybe high?? lol. Now to find an original cover for it!
VERY happy to see all the Zombie celebrating Vinyl Record Day! This is our special holiday! WOW! I really enjoyed looking at this fab item that I have never seen before! VERY exciting score! I bet that is worth a smalll fortune. Amazing Let it Be's! WOW the BOX set! omg. GLORIOUS!! OMG that introducing the Beatles!! HOLY GEEZ thank you for showing these amazingly rare pieces for VRD!! XOXO
Fascinating finds! These records have stories to tell, I often end up with LPs with sleeves from all over, like I have a Ravi Shankar album with a sleeve from a George Harrison album, and a Men At Work one with an AC/DC sleeve.
Dam you Canada, the UK and possibly Australia!
