Pianist should be sitting farther away and higher than she is. But she has no problem with it, nor does she have a problem with the piece. Though some say there are wrong notes, so what? It's still music, and that's the point, no?
I don't care if she stands on her head in her undies, and plays with her toes upside down. The way the music SOUNDS is all that matters. There is no ONE way of positioning the body and the fingers to play the piano "properly." Whatever WORKS best for the individual player is right for him or her.
This woman plays with artistry, character and expertise. What more could anyone reasonably want?
Maybe the one who knows the partiture says that she is not playing it as Albeniz says, but I imagine this one would sell more over the world than the other "1st prize", how many pianist knowing the partiture are in the world??
I can listen to this version, so i like it, the one that is 1st prized winner jose iturbi it is a pure shit, and pianists can say the other has won and there is a tribunal..... bla bla bla...
The tribunal has forgotten the music has to be music, not a key mechanism that make noise.
As this is my taste, probably you could say the same thing about this interpretacion commparing to the other or the opposite.
Sorry but I am an spanish pianist and I know quite well the Suite Iberia, and it's very far from a real good interpretation and so she has several mistakes with the keys indeed...
I know probably I am going to irritate some of my pianist colleagues here but I think this is the best interpetation of this piece I have ever heard....my hats off to u if you arent doing this professionally Ive heard lots of great pianists playing yours excites me most
A great performance! I noticed that you must be an advanced amateur as you have a great command of the piano pedals. Did I notice the use of the una-corda and the sustonuto pedals as well? You not only illustrated a passion for piano, but the "joy" of playing the piano...And that is a very strong emotion coming from the heart...
A magnificent artist. This woman should have been on the circuit! Just delicate yet powerful expression of the music.

You state an opinion and then ably counter it.

Colorful, artistic, very engaging!
This player seems to feel very comfortable with the instrument. Her graceful body language suggests a high degree of mastery.
Never heard this piece before. I've listened to it several times, and liked it more and more. Played with great warmth and involvement.
Thank you!
