  • I just love Bigelf!

  • bigelf make fucking crazy music! i love them

  • They sound like their grandpa's. Yeah' and what's wrong with that? Not one fucking thing!

  • i saw them when they came with Dream Theater's tour in 2009 and they are amazing

  • finally !, a cool 70's style hard rock band for this generation, to know what real rock is all about..none of this 30 seconds to mars or nickleback or as i like to call them ,(stinkleback!) or any of those pretentious , cheesy, over produced, "new rock" bands.. those bands should be obliterated of the face of the rock world and go where they belong-......disney land....

  • Has anyone heard about this band recently? Their future tours and stuff?

  • Comment removed

  • @freetrader0000 They toured with Dream Theater on their progressive nation tour in 2009 but besides that nothing recently

  • @freetrader0000 they toured with priestess thats about all i know

  • Wow. I didnt think turds could make noise, they are usually silent

  • They are huge in Scandinavia!

  • I also here T. Rex in there sound.

  • how about a breath of fresh air in the music industry I love it

    bigelf FTW

  • I saw Big Elf open for total unkowns backwoods paypackin West Chester, PA, with eight other people in 2003!!!

  • I just heard them yesterday while searching around and it was instant love. They have this nice nostalgic sound to them that reminds me when music was more than about money. If they do get big I think this would be a band that wouldn't change (too much) I think they know what being big can do to people. Still love them and gotta find/buy CDs.

  • this sound good...nothing new...but good...i like it...

  • sounds like a band called Trouble very infuential in doom metal

  • these guys kick serious ass live.

  • @okcomputer1016 Talk for yourself!

  • @EmilFinnas94 Do you speak English as a first language?

  • @okcomputer1016 nope! how come?

  • This song reminds me a bit of 'Doctor Doctor' by UFO, but heavier. This can only be a good thing :D

  • For me it's like Sabbath mixed with Led Zep.

  • @T33Bird Sabbath/Jethro Tull/Deep Purple... not so much Zepp

  • @T33Bird they have a little touch of Pink Floyd too.

  • this band blows un-original balls. honestly...so they can play the same riffs that we all can remember, who cares? just a joke band in reality. they should do original songs with the musical talent they might have.

  • please tell me these guys are not from america,,,,,,,so we can send them back,,,i cant believe theres an ear for this any were,,,,, they SUCK

  • Bigelf are awesome!! seen them live and they rock!!!!!!

  • this band looks somehow like the old Black Sabbath to me!!!

  • I discovered these guys recently, when I heard they were supporting Dream Theater in London, and Porc Tree in the US. They're pretty awesome! They sound like a Black Sabbath/ King Crimson hybrid, which is a pretty great feat! I've been converted!

  • @TheAdam159 where do they come from ,are they brits or fro u.s.cheers mate

  • @luke200202 : They're from Los Angeles, if I recall correctly.

  • @TheAdam159 cheers mate they got a uk sound about em .

  • I owe Big Elf a cigarette! Maybe even a beer, too... I missed their gig due to an appointment and was wandering home drunk when I spotted their bus.

  • I discovered this band literally two seconds ago searching for the band Elf (early Dio project yaknow) and damn I'm in love already.

  • big elf is good , overall a good band! must heard

  • I want this band to be huge, cause they just earn to be huge!

  • Saw them open for Porcupine Tree, in chicago.. did an awesome job.

  • @Symphony675 I was there too, that was my second of three Bigelf shows, and Ace's solo on Disappear was something else.

  • great song

  • live at southside 2010!

(?) jajajajajjajajaja

  • QUE QUEMADOS O_o PERO ME GUSTA

  • sound of black sabbath ...

  • I thin more Look than sound :D

  • not to mention some of these riffs here are straight out of the evils of rock and roll. chorus and part of the solo

  • very T REX love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOVE EM!!!

  • They're comin' to take me away, from the paaaaiiiiiinnnnn! I was jumping up and down and singing along to this front and centre at their gig in Nottingham. Wonderful!

  • I don't want this band to be huge. I prefer they keep their cult band status

  • @peter0250 Yes. Let's hope the band never succeeds for your own sake....

  • @peter0250 agreed. sometimes bands that get big start to change their sound. now i'm not saying that WOULD happen. but were certainly safe like this ;)

  • @peter0250 you hipster. How dare a band get successful!

  • @hugmonster Not a damn thing wrong with a good band being successful, as long as they stay true to the music man, that's all any fan can ask of any band or artist.

  • Decent sound but the riffs and solos are almost directly taken out of their "influences". Not a problem, but still...

  • I can't believe I hadn't heard of them before. These motherfuckers KICK ASS, they're way too fucking awesome!!!

It's probably the only band knowadays which really shows its influences from classic hard rock like Zeppelin, Sabbath or even Pink Floyd.

  • Apart from Parlor Mob, Priestess, Wolfmother and all them yer mean?

  • sound a bit like Black Sabbath:D...god i love this music=D

  • @TheWolfManPlatina That's actually really smart, you know how Dio played in a band called elf? And in sabbath?

  • @TheWolfManPlatina

i highly doubt any of you will believe me

but my brother was a Co- founder of that band

    Bigelf

    Andrew Jones

    sadly he has passed

but my bro started it to

  • yo, can anyone send me some lyrics?!

  • have you no concept of google?

  • saw them yesterday, had'nt heard of them before, they were AMAZING, best band of the evening (besides Dream Theatre of course), a fantastic live experience

  • Wow, I just looked up this band to have an idea of what they sound like, as i'm seeing them on the prog nation tour next week, i'm very pleasantly surprised :D

  • saw them in denmark... they are awesome

  • Agree, amazing style. And I loved the Star Wars intro they did at Copenhagen :D.

  • :O they did a Star Wars intro!?

  • Not at all. I like Dream Theater because they aren't just one of those hit-bands making a couple to one song/s that can catch the average ear, then get famous for that and suddenly they've disappeared. I like long advanced songs with musicality, and not just vocal all the way through. And I can tell you, Petrucci ain't just going up and down random scales without any thought to it! It makes a lot of sense to ears into this 'technical' music. Search Rusty Cooley, that guy fits your description...

  • Really cool guys. Sen them 4 my 1st time 2., (Berlin)

    Love 'em

  • I will see them too =)

  • SEE THEM TONIGHT IN HAMBURG YÖÖÖ

  • Świetne!!!!!!

  • I watched Bigelf with DT,Opeth and Unexpect less than a week ago! And I like them all! But unfortunately despite of the fact that Bigelf did a really good performance they just didn't do it for me the other bands (Opeth is a fucking amazing band).

  • Oh my god.... As usual, Dream Theater played their songs perfectly, created a live show and made the audience crazy. Were you born without fucking ears?!? Song quality definitely includes musicality, and Dream Theater is one of the few bands making long musical instrumental passages. No wanking at all, son of a bitch.

Go watch UneXpect wank off on growl and 11 stringed bass.

    Dipshit.

  • ... Wat are you trying to tell us here?!

  • sad to see that you don't have a good ear for music at all. Since when did technical skill become wanking? You're a fucking idiot.

  • not going to get into an e-fight here... but get real man, the thightness and perfection that DT offers is undeniably amazing... shame you don't have the ear to appreciate genuinly good music.

Besides that, i must say that Bigelf impressed me. you can't go wrong with an SG through a Orange stack.

  • DT kicked ass in the concert! unexpect wasn't all mine taste, but bigelf<3 fist time listening to them on the concert, and maaan, they rocked!

  • Same here. I listened some songs from YouTube after the gig. Man I wish I would have done so before the concert! I really like these guys now. But it was hard(er) to listen to Bigelf when I didn't know any songs. =(

But I'm a fan now and I hope to see them again. I guess it's not a problem for them to come to Finland since the bassist and guitarist are from Finland! :P

  • I'm positive to go see them live again! I so hope they will come back to norway!

  • wolfmother and led zepplin and a little indivual this band is good that way

  • okay scale the summit was by far the most boring part of the show

    big elf was amazing

    zappa was amazing

dream theater was the best in the world

  • exact .... bigelf was a revelation

  • are you friggin kidding me? scale the summit was the 2nd best after dream theater, next was bigelf, I would have paid for Zappa to have not played because they were by far the worst band I've ever seen live...they were amazingly terrible, I couldnt stand them

  • says they one named after slipknot.

  • i think slipknot are stupid ive thought this for years and i cant be bothered to change my name, but at least slipknot arent as horrible as zappa zappa.

  • i thought these guys and zappa were awesome. i freakin missed scale the summit.

  • They kicked ass in San Jose!

  • I just seen these guys in Minneapolis cool guys, all hung out after the show..

  • Black Sabbath :)?

  • black sabbath + U.F.O. .... but still great!

  • Great band... shit name ?

  • man these guys were awesome I talked to Ace after their set for like an hour. He was a really cool guy.

  • anyone know where to find lyrcs for their songs?

  • im seeing them on prog nation this saturday

  • they'r different but enjoyable of corse dreamtheater was a dissapointment in milwaukee cause they only did like 6 songs

  • You're a disappointment.

  • they only do 6 songs because there songs are 15+ mins. each. I saw them......they where amazing!

  • That show was still awesome

  • their music has a good retro vibe.

    singer is hot:P

  • awesome song boys! Got danny's autograph last night in ed.

  • sorry damon

  • hmm now this i like

  • Yes, they are amazing live!.. Get "Cheat the Gallows" too.. one of the best ROCK albums I've heard in very long time!... Can't wait to see them again ;)

  • Saw them in Montreal last week at Progressive Nation Tour. They are a damn good band. Their show rocks!!!

Got my Hex album signed, they are really nice people...I'm definitely a fan now!!!

  • saw these guys last night at progressive nation in toronto, very good live band, the singer sounds identical or better live.

  • i saw em in long island. they sound better live than in studio.

  • saw these guys in boston with dream theater and i must say theyr pretty sweet. i like them better live though.

  • My friend saw them with dream theater in Atlanta

  • I was there too. They are a great live performance, I think better than this video. Great show too, I loved Zappa, and of course DT.

  • hey, im going tomorrow to see Prog Nation. about what time did your show start and end?

  • it starts right at 6:00 and ended around 11:00.

Get there in time for the first band "Scale the Summit"....they are great.

Big Elf where ok......I just wasn't ready for them.

Dweezil Zappa completely BLEW me away!.

    I had front row........AMAZING

  • i hated zappa personally. thought it was boring and repetetive. i really liked scale the summit and loved big elf. dream theater was the greatest thing i've ever seen in my life

  • finally someone who agrees with me, Zappa was so long and boring. scale and elf were great and obviously dream theater

  • what? zappa repetitive? if anything scale the summit was boring and repetitive, they should have use Animals as Leaders instead of scale the summit

  • its just an opinion. it seemed to me, (and a few other people i went to the concert with) that zappa was boring and alot of it sounded very similar. while i thought scale the summit were great and i actually listen to them a lot now. but oh well, just opinions, zappa wouldn't have toure with dream theater if they weren't great. it just wasn't my thing

  • saw them last night at the beacon, fantastic band.

  • Great. Never heard of them untill yesterday at Progressive Nation, Brookhaven, NY. Very talented band.

  • lol same here, they were really awesome.

  • Excellent! Never heard of them before a few days ago. Looking forward to seeing them on the ProgNation bill in Los Angeles in a few weeks.

  • Saw them at Prog Nation in Orlando as well. Freakin' amazing talent here.

  • Saw these guys on prog nation tour in orlando. Absolutely awesome. Had never heard of them and was only really there for Dream Theater but they blew me away!

  • wow same they were awesome, and the first band, the third band were the worst band ive ever seen in my life

  • I went to the Boston Show and saw them too!

  • Heh, I also saw them in Boston.

  • i saw these guys in boston and they were easily the best after dream theater

  • i was there too! In my opinion i thought Zappa and Dream Theater were equally the best. this band kicked so much ass too
