Jim Carrey should've been nominated for the Academy Award for his performance in The Truman Show. I think he would've won. I think it was because of the line in his speech "I like to thank the Academy" that made the Academy voters look away. Even though he was just joking, it still came across as arrogant. That's where I and the Academy Awards don't see eye to eye. First off it wasn't in bad taste in my opinion. You're nominating him for a performance in a movie and not because of a speech
