This game was the MOST addicting game to a 5 year old that loved dinos. I had this game installed on my parents' computer, my grandma's computer, and my uncle's computer. I remember the countless amount of times that I'd scream when a carnivorous dinosaur ambushed me and ate me. I believe I had the "Carnivores" version, though.

@darkmyth2 You can't actually add new animals, but you can replace existing ones. In this case, I replaced the Chasmosaurus with a Poacher.

when u pop up at what ever place u choose to play at type in DEBUGUP and press shift and L to fly S for slow mode every key does something u get endless amo and stuff like that

go into C:/program files/carnivores 2/huntdat/

then go into the _RES text file and scroll down till u see t-rex.... and change his basescore to "400" then save and start carnivores 2. if u have vista u have to drag the _res onto the desktop, when u do that it will have a window that has a "continue" on it click it then another will pop up. click continue again then open it up and do the same thing, then when ur done save and x out of it and drag it back into the huntdat folder. the trex..

since you used Chasmosaur's AI for the base of the hunter wandering around. Does that mean that if you wound or get to close to the hunter he'll kill you by running you over? If so, LOL!

Yes, that's it exactly, since the poacher can't really use a ranged attack in the game ("shoot") although he has a shooting animation.

My fraps won't work at all. The FPS doesn't display at all and it won't record when I press the hot key no matter how many times I've pressed it. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. It didn't work. Do you Know why Please help me if you do.

Perhaps you are playing the game in Software Mode. Fraps doesn't work in Software Mode. To solve this, go to the options menu in the game and change the video card settings to D3D Mode.

Carnivores 1 doesn't have that option. that isn't the problem it won't activate even when I start up fraps. no fps displays at all even outside the game when I'm viewing my desktop. I think it might have something to do with the latest release of fraps. It says it is recording fps even though it is not. There is no counter displayed at all. I can't even get it to work on anything else.

well, if you go to the Carnivores Official website, there is a Patch for allowing the Use of D3D. Or you can try to search for a 3Dfx emulator :)

Carnivores patches don't work for me. D3d doesn't work due to my chipset not being advanced enough. And for some reason even with eveything that came with the glide wrapper in the same directory 3dfx doesn't work. This is an old comment. when I start the hunt I get a message that says C1 needs to close. This happens on both graphics modes.

3rd person hunter - imported the poacher model from carnivores ice age, reskinned, used the chasmosaurus AI.

Triceratops - imported the model from carnivores 1, used the chasmosaurus AI.
