There are TONS of aluminum alloy in a 757 and the fire temperature was accepted to be 1000 deg C in places, and liquid aluminum atloy is what is seen pouring out

Thermite iron at 2,500 deg C is WHITE HOT and would pour/cut STRAIGHT DOWN and certainly not OUT OF THE SIDE of the building

The structure didn't need to melt in order to fail by buckling

Softening at the fire temp was enough to do the job
