Great voice, great singer, wanderful musical choices, but that opera is written in italian, in mozart's mother tongue i it's awful. Like to listen to Wagner in Italian :)

Anneliese Rothenberger ist einfach umwerfend. Sie wird in meinen Erinnerungen immer mit dem Sofa meiner Großmutter verbunden sein, auf dem ich saß, wenn es hieß: "Ich lad' mir gerne Gäste ein..." Danke für die schöne Erinnerung!!!

On the other hand, Rothenberger's singing is ridiculously wonderful.

Wie edel ist Frau Rothenbergers Einstellung zur Musik. Der Himmel wird ihr einen gebührenden Platz einräumen. Man sollte sie zur Schutzpatronin des Gesanges erhöhen. In den Herzen der Menschen hat sie schon zu Lebzeiten einen dauerhaften Platz gefunden.
