I wanted to mention to "chingpongionglong" that Basenjis are not for everyone, they are very dificult, stubborn and demanding. You have to be a very experienced dog owner with a LOT of time on your hands and a lot of patience. In my opinion a Basenji is not like any other doggy, they are truly wild in every sense. I own two Basenjis, my second was a rescue. I got my Benji from people that could not handle his needs. Pease think twice before adopting 1.
I have a Basenji/Chihuahua and she is very protective of me... But I love her so much! She isn't friendly to strangers and if someone pets her she tries to bite them. :0
He's a relaxed dog in the sense that he's only really concerned about himself, not the most guardian type of dog. He's very sweet and delicate and loves to clean his paws and sleep under blankets. Basenji's are a lot of work but they are sweet dogs with funny and curious personalities.
