because this film is a remake of a 1987 japanese movie called hachiko monogatari, which is a true story happened around 1920's to 1930's. a story of a japanese dog's loyalty called akita. Hachiko used to accompany his master named prof euno to the train station everytime it goes to work and after prof euno's work, hachiko goes to the train station again to accompany prof euno going home. after prof euno's death, hachiko still waited for his master for 9 years at the station.

i had a dog like Hatchiko.. her name was "Kulit" she was always with my mom to fetch me after school when i was in elementary, she knows where my classroom is, and always going there.. she used to go to market with us every afternoon, thats why whenever she cant find us in our home, she would go directly in market... some vendors would tell us that they saw our dog there, looking for us... She passed away at aged 5... i miss her so much.
