tutorials cause i make it bad.

  • He uses 15fps.

  • good tip. +10

  • THank you very much! Very helpful tutorial.

  • you are so right

  • i have a tan baseplate like that. :D

  • this IS LOST!!! where can i watch it? IK made a lost video too!

  • The set you use as an example, the one that zooms out to show what is really there at 1:36

is that lost? Desmond in the hatch?

  • you don't say legos thats like saying lets go to the dairy queen. its dairy queen. its lets go build lego.. fuck

  • I like how you use LEGO to steady your camera :)

  • The Power of tweezers my friend, the power of tweezers!!!

  • Stop using "LEGO" for the plural of "LEGO" it's LEGOs

  • when you buy lego it says lego on the box not legos

  • Thats the product's name but the plural of that word is 'Legos 'not 'Lego' Like if you were talking to your friend you wouldnt say "hey do you want to go and build some lego"

  • Its the same with butter if you go out and buy 3 sticks of butter, you dont say I just bought 3 sticks of butters.

  • That makes perfect sense but you would say Legos not Lego. Say someone asks you what you like to do, which sounds better, I like building legos or i like building lego?

  • for me lego sounds better but suppose thats what ive always heard so it might be legos. I guess it might be a personal preference

  • It's all a matter of personal opinion I guess.

  • yeah thats true

  • I say Lego.

  • I would

  • @ollietheocta plural of lego is legos

  • @LEGOCODY07 then how come when you by a 500 piece box of lego it says lego not legos?

  • @ollietheocta it's the company's name they're the lego company the bricks are what are separate

  • @LEGOCODY07 yeah i suppose it just sounds weird were ive always heard people call them lego not legos

  • @ollietheocta there is a way to say lego but only if it's a specific oeice like lego bricks

  • @LEGOCODY07 No the plural of Lego is Lego. For example you don't say ''I have lots of Legos'', you say ''I have lots of Lego''.

  • @legomailman eh, i guess it's how you look at it i see it as if you have some bricks you'd say lego bricks but if they're random pieces then you'd say legos

  • @ollietheocta i agree. i hate it when people say "legos"

  • @ollietheocta ''legos'' are the plural term

  • @samusc13572468 no its like sheep... one sheep two sheep... one lego two lego... it might be two lego brick"S" but not two legos... its like seeing to televisions and saying i have two sonys... you would say i have two sony...TelevisionS

  • @ollietheocta But theres more then One lego

  • Is that first brown set from a movie? It looks like the apartment in Lost.

  • hey in 2:06 where did you get the gray lego brick which has a hole in the middle oh and also behind it was a big transparent piece? oh and the minifigure who you couldn't get walking i could get him walking sence my hands can really fit in that small place

  • this vid was released on my BDAY!

  • and

  • happy bday

  • Are you gonna make any more bricks in motion vids

    cause they are really helpful

  • @AsharViper701 Really really helpful

  • Thanks a lot nathan you inspired me.

  • So glad I stumbled upon these tutorials before learning to brickfilm by trial and error. I have a question though...

What's the best way to animate objects suspended in the air? For example, if something is thrown or is falling from above, how would one go about animating this?

Right now, all I can think of is animating the object against a static backdrop and superimposing the image into the main film later. Is there a better way?

  • you can stick things 2 a flat wall with a piece of clay thats oposite to the where the cam is looking it creates the illusion of not bieng held up by anything

  • you take a picture of nothing, and then the guy with bricks holding him up. then get a program called bafran. Then find a tutorial on u tube!

  • 3:12 FFFAAAIIILLLL

  • 2:10 what was the transparent thingy

  • it's the plastic case the LEGO X-Pod Sets come in. They discontinued the X-Pod sets a few years ago, but you can get it on the bricklink website, hope this helps.

  • it comes in some of the very little tubs where you build some little animals with weird pieces.

  • 3:05 - 3:33 is SOOOO annoying when it happens!

  • Why animate the Sotic?

  • watching this video inspired me to mak mini sets thanks for the info

  • 4:30 what movie is that for?

  • i use 15 fps

  • wat music did you use

  • I know that problem with building sets too tight... That's why I build my sets in an "animation firendly" way. I might make narrow walls, but I build the walls so, that I can take out some of it, to move my figuer. Then put the part of the wall back and take the shot... I built an entire yaught like that, with narrow hallways and cabins and yet it was fairly easy to animate in it.

  • What the hell?

  • HIHI

  • dude about the too close walls thing there is a simple solution to that which many people do its called removable walls you take it off when posing the minifig and put it back on when shooting

  • thank u

  • Go stop-motion pro! That's what I use =) I'm moving up to 13 fps!!!

  • im up to 30 fps.....

  • Good for you pal, do you want to try making a video like ours?

  • that's pretty fast. Have you ever used 24?

  • that's slow. 15 is the very bare minimum.

  • ardman use 12 fps

  • 12 is kinda slow

  • The best stop motion tuturiol i've seen

  • You know, the Octon part in my username,OctonDude,is actully named after one of my favorite minifigures, the one with the shirt that says Octan on it.

  • me ayudaron mucho tus videos, ahora hago mis videos.miralos, pone en el buscador enzokpo19 y vota los videos porfa

  • it is funny and very interesting too =D

  • And it is function of editing, the shot before and also after.

Famous exemple : star wars, first shot = space, after you show what you want because brain recorded the movie is in space.

  • The invisible part of the set is imagined by spectator, it's a reflex of brain.

C'est connu, le reste du décors est imaginé par le spectateur, c'est un réflexe du cerveau.

  • I knew a guy who talks like you.. i think it's so cute!

  • exact speech problem that i have... mine came from sucking my thumb until i was 20 lol ruined my mouth

  • Thanks!

  • is that minifigure in underwear?
