In my youngest days this game used to scare me. I don't know how it came, but I guess if my father says that the fear came all of a sudden, then I probably played it alone and got scared by Zeed's laugh on the game over screen. Only managed to rid that fear about a decade later... But once I had, I started to get my lost childhood back, playing that awesome game without fear. I managed to get the good ending on my first attempt and on any after that. Probably inherited that skill from my father.

I like the way the Shadow Dancer boss is simply the standard ninja sprite coloured yellow with a pair of devil horns added :-)

Also, how exactly do you hide in the shadows whilst dressed in neon yellow? He couldnt have been a very good assassin...

Great game. I owned the six-pack as well and this was always my favorite alongside Sonic. Streets of Rage / Golden Axe were both excellent as well. And yes, this game was hard. It was fucking hard. But I still loved it. That waterfall stage was much tougher then it just looked in your video...I guess I just sucked at games when I was a lad, hah. Great game with great music. I really miss games like this...Games seem too serious now. You'll never fight a ninja in a disco in a modern game. :(

Because I play for fun, not to show off skills in a game to make people think I have accomplished something no other person can do, when in reality, there is always going to be someone who is better at it than me, regardless of how old it is. There are already ppl who play this game so well that it boggles the mind. If that is what you want, then look somewhere else please. There is no tag in this video that discribes 'skill', It's just simply me showing the game, nothing more.

Well other than using the lighting barrier, I suppose not. Only actual code I know is getting infinite shurikens. Even then I don't bother to use them.

holy shit, i remember this. i could not get past the first level cuz i didn't know there was a hidden door in the house. as for the one you are thinking, that is a sequel. it has the main charcter's son and his wolf dog.

This game had some awsome music. The bosses were a bit on the strange side, but they were equaly awesome as well. I mean a Rave loving ninja, "Spider-Man" "Batman" "Termanator" "Godzila" a Brain a nuke missile truck!? too much. Not even Ryu Hyabusa can touch the awesome of those bosses.

well you go option and reduce the shuriken stating until zero and w8 until there's a sound..... but the arrow must be there pointing shiruken at all time..... should be easy btw

This is possibly the BEST game for the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive)!! What other game can you take on Rambo, The Terminator, Batman, Spiderman, and even Godzilla all in the same game!!?? If Sega had come out with some great side-scrolling action games this good for the Saturn, maybe it would've survived in this country!!!

This is a bad ass all time classic game, the bosses were so cool, i remember theres one dude whos like terminator in a junkyardand you have to dodge the cars he throws at you, that big computer with a huge human eye and brain and even some kind of spiderman and batman thing in there lol Classic!!!

In the option screen, go to shuriken and lower the amount of shurikens to "00". Then wait for the "00" turn into an infinite sign. I don't see the point in having infinite shurikens though...

to get infinite shurikens, in the options menu, set it to 00 and wait a few seconds. The zeroes will turn into the infinity sign. I think a full circle of shurikens happens when you double jump and attack
