Unfortunately for us poor French Vectrex-users, 'Pole Position' was NEVER released here. Too bad we had to stick up to "Hyperace" (which was kind of cool too but not the arcade "franchise" we loved). :)

This is a must own for Vectrex. The quality of animation and graphics are astounding, the sounds are perfect, and it plays so smoothly.

vector = vectorials, same graphics used on polibyus, but with less colours, is weird, but his graphs have a lot of fps

cool graphics .. looks more like an arts project with frame by frame animathin.. rather than actually a game where you would expect less smoothness

Vectrex was/is awesome. My brother got his from a Gold Circle store (remember those?) He since sold it or misplaced it.

yes all games are in bw.

color overlays had various colors

depending on the game.

but I think most people prefer playing

without the overlays.

armor attack is a lot more fun with the overlay (it recreates the jungle atmosphere without much interference)

@Extralounge overlays also give the games a background as well....also they might highlight important areas too....

Such a cool system, but it obviously had its limitations. Probably more so than the Atari 2600.

Still, wish I had one of these as a kid!
