@doug8798 Reason is That music was plagiarize by Kenji yamamoto who's no longer working for Toei animation or Bandai anymore do the massive scandal he did & it's also the fact that it has budget issues & Ratings in USA & Japan Television are very low. all they did is Remove filler & put rehashed footage from DBZ and Make Lazy Reanimated Scenes for a quick buck but it failed for 2 years. PathoftheJiofreed is completely wrong. it is one of the worse remakes of all times. Funi VA's are overacting.

And the reason Dragon Ball in mentioned in the beginning of Kai, thats because this is for a new generation of fans who don't know about DragonBall, Gt, or the manga. So they had to give them a run down of the basic plot of DragonBall. Oh, and the 4Kids! edit is badish 'cause I didn't see much wrong, but if you have a problem with that version, its 4Kids!, and thats why you didn't like it. Oh, and the edits in Nicktoons and 4Kids! are because KIDS are watching! They edited DBZ originally to.
Doug, your wrong about the animation thing with how reanimateing it would be easier than restoreing it. It would cost a crap load of crabs. And the voice acting is better, yeah I know that the old voices are full of nostalgia, but now the translations are correct and the actors have ALOT more expirience under their belts. Also I agree with the other commentors input that Kai makes LITTLE changes to the story for filling the episode's sake, while Evolution basically craped on the manga.

It's a far less expensive way to introduce a new generation of viewers to the show instead of reanimating 100 episodes that they did nearly 20 years prior. So, really, new animation would be a bit pointless.
I'm Sorry to say this I love both Funi inhouse & Oceans Dub of DBZ Becuase they're More entertaining more Enjoyable It doesn't matter it's not even translated from Japanese version nor Inaccurate to the manga. I love both Ocean & Inhouse Funi DBZ Dubs & I hate DBK in English it's terrible & I love DBK in Japanese.
