But thank you for commenting. Perhaps you could elucidate? Now I must visit your page..

And Have a very Merry Christmas day and a great New Year.

  • Probably the best video on youtube. You're a genius!

  • @MrRazorblade999

Thanks for your comment. Seems a bit over the top but hey, I can handle it. It's fun and that's important. Now to browse your page. And a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • well sir, i for one am relieved you didn't pull them thar pistols! **good tune.**

  • I think the person means that by listening to my site it made her phone whistle Dixie. I suppose they may have made a ringtone out of it. Of course if they have they owe me. But There's likely no specific ap for it.

  • what app did u get that whistled dixie??

  • Yea! I'm so happy if I've made your phone whistle Dixie. Now the world is complete :)

  • @hughpetrie Yea! I'm so happy if I've made your phone whistle Dixie. Now the world is complete :)

  • I said my I-phone could do everything but whistle "Dixie". I was wrong! It is a marvelous device.

  • Awesome video, great whistling.

  • I whistled just for fun) I was listening to old songs, and there were the flute, and I began to copy the flute, whistling. It's hard enough to choose a suitable sound, but I have an ear for music, and studied at the School of Music before. Generally I like to portray different musical instruments)

  • @DmitryFrolov1

Well I've never studied music formally. But I've played guitar about 60 years, and a poor electric piano for a few years. Then I got to playing flute for 17 years and alto sax for the last 5 years of that period until I lost all my teeth. I was lucky that I could get back my whistling with the false teeth but playing sax ended for the plate shifting and the flute against the gum through the lip was too painful. I'm doing find for 79 years of age.Put some of your whistling on .

  • I also love to whistle a song of the Civil War)

  • @DmitryFrolov1

Hello Dmitry; I should point out that I'm less a fan of the Civil war than the joyous sound of the Dixie tune. But I'm glad to kniow you vvisited. I checked out your reather bare site but did visit the young Oriental girl playing Dixie and Oh Susanna too. I take it you may be a whistler too?

  • i wish i could do that

  • That's some sweet whistlin'

  • @nrhbmw

Thanks for visiting and the comment. Next to singing whistling is one of the musical instruments we always have with us - well, some of us anyway.

Looked at your site and shall have to visit again to take the time to investigate better, but the dark medium gray with black type is hard for my old eyes to decipher. I'll work on it. I note you're another Canadian like me.

  • I can't do this so you get my thumbs up.

  • This guy probably fought in the Civil War

  • Good chuckle! It's a zippy tune and a challenge to whistle. Actually I'm a Canadian and I found motorcycling through the South when I was 19 in 1950 to be a disgusting learning experience. Slavery is bullshit Godlessness.

That the State of Texas can be proud of the Alamo - a war fought against Mexico which didn't allow slavery, so Texas could have slaves, to be as disgusting as the current problem with the dogs of Islam. Murdering scum.

    Y'all be good now!

  • @hughpetrie Your so full of crap. The war wasnt about slavery, it was about states rights.

  • couragous effort there from, hugh. one of the old skool classics.

if you like his style look out for a new sensation who has been given massive support from david rodigan of all people!!!

  • You remind me of my great grandfather. He was one hell of a fisherman and whistler. NICE JOB!

  • was? he's dead now? I'm so sorry.

  • "simple as wistleing dixie while i'm waving the pistol at 60 chistians against me"-eminem "renegade

  • Interesting quote. I'm not an eminem fan so I'm not familiar with it but it's a bit of a laugh.

I'll do it killing Taliban and al Queada.

  • Very nice whistling........

  • wow his is amazing that was pretty good for a whistle sounded like birds

  • emma carols granddaughter

  • OMG hugh i love it P.S this is Emma

  • Well that's nice to know, Emma. I keep wondering where my growing audience is coming from. You back in Killaloe?

  • @liketotalybla

Emma: I hadn't seen this until tonight (may 15, 2010) and assume you didn't understand that there was another Emma living in Killaloe who had left and I thought you were her. I thought I'd sent you a note on that but maybe not. I am beginning to forget stuf that is totally simple. Stupid old age retired. By the way; don't you mean 'dude'. I do remember some stuff.

  • @hughpetrie You've played on so many musical instruments? It very well. I can only play the piano because he studied it (although I have not graduated from music school to the end) and a little guitar.

  • That was excessively rude. Besides it was 30 SECONDS. That doesn't waste a lot of time in my opinion.

I enjoyed the video very much! I like your beard Hugh!
