That is a good thing he does that. There are times at night I don't hear the sirens, and if it wasn't for the weather radio scaring me to death, I would probably be toast.

Wolf instinct took over. To the dog it probably sounds like the howling of other dogs at a distance.

To answer some questions, Rook groans where he hears a siren and if I do a small groan back he will start his howl. It is not common behavior, but if im home when they are testing the tornado sirens sometimes we'll both have a good howl together.
