  • did you have any plans on making the boiler or any off it infact ?

  • @rzzgecko - plans , such as they were, are on my web pages see davewatkins.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk

  • I dunno, firing that little thing looks like it could get a bit tedious! 8-)

  • Hey. How is the fire blown and what kind of coal are you using?

  • @Janigut The exhaust from the cylinders draws the fire when running. A steam blower takes over when staionary. I use domestic smokeless fuel (Homefire) which burns easily and leaves little ash.

  • what are you paying that driver to do?!

  • Perhaps I ought to articulate his left arm and attach it to the regulator.

  • Do you know, that lazy b. on the footplate does nowt!

  • were di you get the material to build that

  • I buy brass, steel and copper from model engineering suppliers.

  • thxs,I wish i wasent so dirt poor than i stop using beercans for a firebox and a boiler lol

  • Is the track scratch-built? I use LGB track and it's not very realistic, I love the railway, great scenic countryside feel!!

  • The trackwork is mostly Peco SM32 held down by "Rowlands' mix" (sand/peat/cement).

  • So this is g scale narrow-gauge?

  • It is 16mm to the foot on 32mm gauge (O gauge) track.

  • Is rolling stock hard to find for it?

  • There are a lot of kits on the market. Ebay seems to have a fair selection if you search on 16mm scale or on SM32.

  • Do you have 3 1/2'' gauge, 5'', 7 1/4''?

  • No, at least not yet. Maybe one day.

  • Well if you get/build some, then it will be very exiting, if you do 3.5'' gauge, I recomend you Build/buy a Maisie Atlantic. Check out my vid so you can see what they look like!

  • Under your description you spelt coal wrong

  • Thanks - well spotted - I have corrected it

  • More please, is it for sale?

  • Sorry, it is a one off. You can buy coal fired locos in this scale. DJB Model Engineering have been advertising coal fired locos recently.
