You can't get even close to Andy's talent unless you mention Tony Bennett- however they have each each-others own unique thumb print, so I think they are both in the same class. No, I know they are in the same class just different. You know as well as I do Oh Danny boy-A.W. and I left my heart in San Francisco-T.B. are as about as imprinted on us as you can get. I know most of you want "Moon river" , but trust me, if you herd what I heard......."Andy Williams - Danny Boy" view b&w onutube.
@footcar I agree with you! Andy and Tony are both in a class by themselves, but I'm inclined to add Matt Monro and Nat King Cole in there, but I think you're right on target! Nobody can touch Andy's version of this song or "Moon River" or so many of his other songs, but I'm a fan of T.B., and my Mother loved him! Thanks for posting! Merry Christmas!

fabulous singer, fabulous song, fabulous arrangement--you feel like an ornament on a tree while listening to it!! It is the MOST wonderful of the year. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays all!
even though im typing this in October but still! besides, is it just me or does it seem like only christmas songs from the 50s and 60s do a waaaaaaaaay better job brightening up the holidays? i can't think of one song from this day where it has the same effect as the old songs.
I believe that Andy Williams performed the song "It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year" during one of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
I couldn't agree more. Third one is... just OK. I can watch it. The last one is just pathetic. But the first two - omg, what is Christmas without Home alone (1&2), right? :D
@kxx46 No argument from me on that! Andy has a monopoly on this song, and it doesn't matter who else tries to sing it. Of course, anything Andy sings is awesome!
I love Christmas, especially when I get to spend it with my family. Whenever we go get a Christmas tree we all pitch in and decorate the Christmas tree, and we have like a sorta family tradition where its the night before Christmas we watch ",It's a wonderful life", Christmas is practically Family FUN
Good call tjsadar, his show was on tv for most of my young childhood, and loved him then,he appeals to all ages, except chavs and degenerates maybe!he has a warm non threatening persona,as well as being able to sing effortlessly superbly!best show on tv back in the 60's.He is my lasting memory of xmas as a little boy,I'm now making a living impersonating the likes of him,Sinatra,Deano,Sammy,Tom Jones,Nat King Cole, matt Munro Etc.But Andy was the first singer I remember and loved. He is Mr.Xmas!
The talents of back then can not be compared to today. Sinatra, Martin, Davis, and Nat King Cole are some of the finast examples of talent that will be recognized by generations to come. Back then it required talent. Today, all anyone has to do is scream into a microphone and be drowned out by music. Entertainers such as Andy Williams could make even the worst song sound good. Too many gone too soon. The Carpenters are also a prime example of this...
There are vrey talented people I know who would cut it back in the 60's & 70's but they can't get on Cowell's money making shows as they sound too good.I know men who outsing Buble and the girls especially,as the best girl singers are also the best looking singers I know,Leona Lewis is a good singer but these girls I know are mindblowing, and get turned away 1st audition usually. She has an amateur lower range, but gullable youngsters buy her cd's because she's as good as is allowed on these shows.
Hmmm, can't believe he only ever had one no. 1 hit....back in 1957 !!!

You're, quite frankly, awesome. You seen all four movies? The first two were the best. I hated the last one.

First 2 are brilliant, the others are pathetic imo.. Joe Pesci is ridiculously funny :).

Totally agree. You seen him in Goodfellas?

He definitely deserved that oscar, perfect role for him.
