  • @inkey2, The Model 92 Winchester was introduced in 1892, the show is set in the 1880's so the answer is no this model did not exist in that time frame but that's show biz. The Model 73 Winchester would have been a more historically correct choice for the show. I also doubt that the large loop / fast fire modification existed either.

  • "The Rifleman" was several decades before my time.... but ever since they started showing reruns of it late last year, I've been hooked! And sir, I must say that you did the intro sequence some serious justice. Superb skills on a legendary firearm!

  • what model is this riffle is it a windchester?

  • It seems you loved that show as much as I did as a kid & therefore, you are COOL!! Great shootin' too. I know Chuck (Kevin) Conners didn't shoot like that, but he'd be proud that you mimic his character had he still been alive. Nicely done, Mr. McCain. Best show on TV EVER.

  • Great shooting and video Lucas Boy.

  • Very cool

  • Thanks for keeping the legend alive! Keep it up!

  • This is one of our favorite YouTube videos. Great job Mike. Just love that rifle!

  • haha god bless ummericah

  • what is the name of the song in the thats playing???

  • THAT IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!! whered you get those rifles

  • No Mike, you do Chuck Connors proud. You're an awesome shot. Remember, Lucas always said that it took lots of practice. LucasBoy Jr. should be your name.

  • this riflemnan style winchester......did one like this actually exist in the old days or was the one used in the TV series a modification, or a gimmick just for the show?????

  • @inkey2 just a mod. Lucas explained it in an episode, somehow rigged the trigger to the lever.

  • Great shooting Mike, I always loved the Rifleman and all the old westerns, our entire family used to get together for dinner and watch the rifleman, It was a sight to see 35 people in the living room watching westerns with cowboy hats and guns displayed afterwards we were cowboy crazy back then.

  • Hey Mike. I really enjoyed that. Good piece of craft. I used to watch The Rifleman here in the UK as a kid. Always loved that openin' sequence.

    CHEERS !!

  • is there a modification for my large loop lever action without damaging the lever by that i mean drilling a hole in it.

  • powerful nice...

  • Is that you PA?

  • Awesome! Chuck Connors lives!!!!!!! Nice rifle work!

  • you have redefined badass

  • epic...

  • sound more like a fukin cap gun.

  • @veeseee128

Yes because obviously by the time it's been recorded, edited, converted and replayed on a computer's speakers it's going to be at the same 120+dB level it was IRL. (This is sarcasm BTW.)

  • it's a lever action carbine not a SMG

  • Wow. Mike DiMuzio even looks like Chuck Connors! We often become our heroes.

  • Mike, I was wondering what you think of the Marlin line of rifles? (Lever actions)

  • @frank234you Marlin makes very good lever-actions.

I am very happy with my 1895G .45-70 Guide Gun (shorter than the 1895 rifle and with a ported barrel) and my other shooting friends are happy with their Marlins.

For lever-actions, I recommend you get tall see-through scope rings, if you want to mount a scope. They allow you to still use your iron sights and do not restrict you thumbing the hammer like low scopes will.

  • i love how in that show he killed so many ppl yet someone always wanted to fuck with him in the town hahaha

  • The Rifleman lives! Yeehaaw!!!

  • Yeehaaw! The Rifleman lives!

  • This guy is gonna' shoot your hat off, the buttons off your shirt and the leather off the soles of your shoes! B r O i N g ! Hahaha...

  • Holy Crap! Hahaha....

  • Great demo, how did you set off the firecracker charge on the balloons like that in perfectly timed succession?

  • Hi Friend,

I didnt use any firecrackers. I simply shot the balloons. ...

    Mike DiMuzio

  • @mikedimuzio I AM SO FUCKIN' IMPRESSED Mike. 5 yrs. ago we met through Cowgirl & touched me when you tracked me like,,,like Lucas & Razor, got my phone # and , over the phone demoing that 94' 44-40. Do you remember me? I haven't been on these things since I lost contact withya. Sure would welcome you again my friend.

  • @mikedimuzio One word to describe you, "EPIC"! You do Chuck Conners proud!^^

  • nice rifle. looks fun

  • What a speed!

  • what was the rifle used in adios sabata by yul brynner? anyone

  • john wayne used a similar configuration in many of his westerns. rio lobo, el dorado, and true grit come to mind. Chuck Connors in the TV series "the rifleman" made the technique of the swing-cock very popular. Also, a similar modification was done to the winchester 1887 shotgun used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in terminator 2.

Quick and the Dead, The Long Kiss Goodnight, and many other films possess firearms modified to be primed by a "swing-cock".

  • I think it was strictly a studio prop.

  • It was also a pretty obvious phallic symbol.

  • And you are a pretty obvious fag!

  • I agree you are a fag !!!!!!

  • Nice shooting Mike! I'm still confused as to why there was a bible next to the rifle.

  • Probably because he is a man of god, rifles and bibles go together like ice cream and apple pie.

  • Yea, I guess jesus was a kind of a back -woods redneck.

  • Awesome video, Mike. You are a true rifleman.

  • how did the cartridge stay in the rifle when it was flipped?

  • That flip actually chambers a new cartridge.

  • My mind is blown

  • I would use that rifle for evil.

  • what this music is ??

  • Good shooting!!

  • Thanks for the memory,my favorite show to,maybe you & Johnny Crawford can make a remake of the Rifleman,The Grandson of Lucas Mcain, send it to Hollywood, Phil

  • Oh snap, man. You got 2 of them. I got a Puma that looks like the rifle Chuck Conners used, accept for the fact that it doesn't have the large loop. 5 stars, man, and I will add this to my v-log. Oh, how much does an exact replica of Chuck Conners gun cost?

  • you've got a big rifle there
