  • ""Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Thus the beneficiaries are spared the shame and danger that their acts would otherwise involve… But how is this legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them and gives it to the other persons to whom it doesn’t belong."

  • "See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime. Then abolish that law without delay - No legal plunder; this is the principle of justice, peace, order, stability, harmony and logic."

    — Frédéric Bastiat (The Law)

  • Hey orange guy, I can't wait to watch the level of ignorance that will flow from your loins. I love to listen to your speeches. It is like watching Sponge Bob and Patrick. Please keep grabbing the microphone and stop listening to Mini Me (Ivan). It is truly going to be a hoot to watch you try to control your pigmy cousins (Tea Party) Ha, Ha, Ha.

  • he is such a negative nancy

  • obama and all libs on the hill are idiots.....a House of Idiots

  • The New Republican theme song..

BE A CLOWN, BE A CLOWN, ALL THE WORLD LOVES A CLOWN.

  • @BoomerNavy70 your just angry they found out what dems do

  • dems are the real clowns, excuse me for being disrepectful. I mean they are idiots

  • What agenda? quadrupling the national debt, taking over private business, short circuiting the constitution with czars, all of which have highly extreme views? you have the right to believe and vote your ideology, just think out your position. I think you are just an ideologue parroting what you hear on TV.

  • You are a joke. Czars? Under the bush administration, those 9 Czars were called advisors. Taking over private business? Are you talking about the car industry or the PHI industry? The car industry is the one that knocked on the White House door looking for billions of our tax dollars. I am glad the fed is monitoring it. As for the PHI industry, I hope the government puts that industry out of business. How many people have to die before someone intervenes? The states didn't give a shit!

  • Boehner is reading the wrong document. Just like when he quoted from the Declaration of Independence today when he was supposedly quoting from the Constitution. That's a boner, Boehner.

  • Soooooo. You read the bill? Have you read the constitution? I bet neither.

  • ...get over your anger and your dis-like for the USA...!

  • ....you can start to THINK for your~self....!

  • THEY have 1990 pages of legislation produced by days, weeks, and months of bargaining and compromise with US. Now, WE counter that with a few pages of talking-points by which we propose to scrap everything and start re-bargaining re-bargaining from the end of the process.

WE'RE so clever. WE think no one will catch on that WE can keep this up until the final result will be NO CHANGE. STATUS QUO. The insurance companies make out like bandits, we get reelected - and the public suffers. Ha ha.

  • Google "Progressive Capitalist H.R 3962" to find my blog on this.

  • The filthy Dems hate this country and will not be satified until it's destroyed.

  • OK, OK, last time I said in a poker game I'd be sure to call you. On this one I'd reraise.

  • If there's anyone who still doesn't know what a bald-faced liar Boehner is, watch the utube video:

"A Response to Rep. John Boehner: I'm an American, and I support a Public Option."

  • Think government run organizations. Think post office, dmv, etc. Do you really want those retards dealing with anything as important as healthcare? Most government run organizations are painfully inefficient because they don't have to be profitable and there is no incentive for accomplishment. Did you ever waste an entire day waiting on different lines at the DMV to get some stupid form filled out? Do you want the healthcare system to be like that?

  • Look at all of them, replete with a background sign, "Republican Solutions." Since when? They must have just discovered health care because they have had no solutions for years. The party of "No." Unless of course, it is for their wealthy friends in corporate America. Then they spend like drunken sailors. What was their most recent 'solution?' Um, I'm thinking...just give me a sec...oh, ah..well, THEY DON'T HAVE ONE!!!

  • gotta love propaganda.

  • Let's pretend that there are 2 major political parties, at odds with one another, running the U.S. govt.

  • Our elected officals are out of line! They are not acting in our best intrest. We need a ground swell of letters, calls, emails and people going to washington to tell them NO! NO GOVERNMENT OPTION!

  • Actually, the groundswell is in favor of a public option. If in doubt just google "opinion polls on the public option'

  • You must be a left loon because you buy that bs!

  • Actually it's not. The ABC and the Washington Post polls were shown to poll 13% democrats than republicans. Rassmussan and Gallup say the public in NOT in favor of the public option.

  • (ClassicFIHD says the same paragraph on every utube thread.) Even the conservative-minded Rasmussen poll shows majority support for the public option. Anyone reading this, just google "Rasmussen poll on the public option".

  • Rassmussen October 28, 2008:"The president and congressional Democrats continue to argue that their health care reform plan will reduce how much most Americans spend on medical care. But 57% of voters nationwide believe the plan will raise the cost of health care if it passes, and 53% believe the quality of care will get worse. Thats part of the reason that just 45% support the plan. A slight majority (51%) of Americans are opposed to it"

  • We were talking about the public option. Would you care to quote the Rasmussen poll results for that? Or did you purposely choose to ignore those results?

  • I gave you that Rassmussen said thier polling shows people are strongly opposed the the PUBLIC OPTION. Show me you poll numbers that Rassmussen said the public supports it as you made the claim first.

  • The first question finds that 46% favor the creation of a government-sponsored non-profit health insurance option that people could choose instead of a private health insurance plan. Thirty-seven percent (37%) are opposed. In other words, more people supported it than opposed it. Why do you ask others to do the research you should have done before spouting off?

  • Rassmussen said thier polling shows people are strongly opposed the the PUBLIC OPTION.

  • Get it right for once downthedrain08!

  • LOL, Rassmussen October 26, 2009: "but our polling shows that support is very soft. In fact, people are strongly opposed to a public option if they think it could lead employers to drop the existing coverage they provide employees. " Like you said "Anyone reading this, just google "Rasmussen poll on the public option""

  • That's the result for the biased question, but when the question was asked in a neutral way, "would you favor a government run insurance plan that would directly compete with private insurance" the majority supported a public option. Republicans would be proud of you selecting only biased info.

  • That's a good one, ask a question and don't use the words "public option". Guess that why Peolsi has a new name for it every day. What is it now? The consumer option I think.

  • Enjoy your rising health care costs & premiums that continue to increase faster than wages.

If the U.S. doesn't waste yet anther chance to reform it's absurdly expensive system it will have to be through the efforts of those smarter than you.

  • Oh downthedrain08, you are so beyond stupid. Humm, actually the stupid Bill is dead in the water. Not really anything to discuss anymore. Demo's, as you call them, are history. I don't even think the nuclear option can push this pile of crap through.

  • Fox News.

    24/7 propaganda.

  • Congressional Budget Office Reports....

...All told, H.R. 3962 would reduce the federal deficit by $9 billion in 2019 alone???? (big deal!)

...Consequently, CBO expects that the legislation would ***slightly reduce*** federal budget deficits in the following decade (2019 to 2029) relative to those projected under current law...

with a total effect during that decade that is in a broad range between "ZERO" and 1/4% of GDP!

  • CBO H.R. 3962

**LEAVES 18 MILLION non-elderly residents UNINSURED!

** The "public plan" would have to CHARGE premiums to cover its costs!

MANDATE for legal residents to obtain health insurance starting in 2013 & impose a FINANCIAL PENALTY on people who did not do so!

Substantially reduce the growth of Medicare's payment rates for services!

Impose an INCOME TAX SURCHARGE on high-income individuals!

Pay SUBSIDIES to 150% to 400% of FPL in the exchanges.

    Set up insurance "exchanges"!

  • CBO

..Imposes a "play-or-pay" requirement on employers MANDATED to offer "qualifying" insurance to employees & contribute SUBSTANTIAL share toward the premiums or PAY A FEE (TAX) to equal 8% of their payroll!

..Smaller employers (Less than $750,000) pay lower rate or be exempt from that requirement!

..Certain employers could allow all of their workers to choose among the plans available in the exchanges, but those enrollees would NOT BE ELIGIBLE to receive SUBSIDIES via the exchanges!

  • CBOs assessment....

That a "public plan" paying negotiated rates would attract a broad network of providers but.... would typically have PREMIUMS that are somewhat HIGHER THAN THE AVERAGE PREMIUMS for the private plans in the exchanges!

The rates the public plan pays to providers would, on average, probably BE COMPARABLE TO THE RATES PAID BY PRIVATE INSURERS!

  • Congressional Budget Office Reports....

To reduce direct spending by about $426 billion over the 2010 - 2019 period...

.. Permanent reductions in the annual updates to Medicares payment rates for most services in the fee-for-service sector! (namely, the effects of those changes on payments to Medicare Advantage plans & collections of Part B premiums.) (SAVING $229 BILLION)

.. Setting payment rates in the MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PROGRAM on the basis of Medicare spending! (SAVING $170 BILLION)

  • If the communists, I mean liberals, want to live in a utopia where everyone has a nice corner office job, I hope that their ready to break out the shovels and get to farming because someone's gotta do it.

  • You said it!

  • Democrat's have developed ideas that human societies and culture evolve by mechanisms that are analogous to those that apply to evolution of a Fascist State.

The social implications of the theory of evolution by natural selection also became the source of continuing controversy.

  • Friedrich Engels, a German political philosopher and co-originator of the ideology of communism, wrote in 1872 that "Darwin did not know what a bitter satire he wrote on mankind when he showed that free competition, the struggle for existence, which the economists celebrate as the highest historical achievement, is the normal state of the animal kingdom".

  • Interpretation of natural selection as necessarily 'progressive', leading to increasing 'advances' in intelligence and civilisation, was used as a justification for colonialism and policies of eugenics, as well as broader sociopolitical positions now described as Socialist Darwinism.

  • Truthinmidamerica sent me this PM.."You're a brainwashed fool who doesn't think for hisself. How is your grade school education working for you? How is your welfare check working out? Does it suck that you're still living with your parents?" End of quote!

We arnt coward's here in the south and we sure and hell will never leave parent's or kin folk out on the street! I'll will not hide when it comes to voiceing my opinion's!

  • keep stating the truth john~!

  • Well,It was was my speech anyway!

All I know is at the end of the day,I still dont have any affordable health care!

  • Those who would surrender their freedom for security, deserve neither.

    B Franklin.

  • ...I just finished watching a documentary about a Brain Surgeon that goes to Russia each year and trys to Treat the thousands of people being ignored and not treated in the Commrade CRAP CARE system. The devastation of the long lines and hundreds being denied any care? Heart breaking. BUT Obama and Pelosi seem to deem this is WE THE PEOPLE'S FATE?..........they will still be first in line with Golden Parachute Care and access to the finest DOCS! While we stand and wait and wait and wait.........

  • ....let's see........it appears that Obama had = KING DEATH scritchin HR3200 = out while his highly sharpened SICKLE ~ resting on his bony lap!......& thus we have this 1900+ pages we see here today!.........this is a commie comic book of the BIGGEST KIND!..........Can you see this thousands of Edicts arriving in our Doctors offices? With thousands of MORE FORMS!...& a slumped over clueless mindless drone Of Obamas in the NEW Billion Dollar Building of Public Health Care...typing DENIED! 2 US

  • "The shortcoming's of this analysis of corporatism needs to be centrally addressed, and more squarely located within the wider debates over theories of

putting distributive power back into the lives of the average citizen.

The ideological principles underlying corporatism reflect patterns of ELite's power over the Goverment and the tax payer's live's.

  • This elaberate system of social-economic class division is based on a corporatist power structure in which major vested interests/goverment are concerted by means of a strong central state,to generate inequalities in our system in which benefits are distributed in such a way as to reflect the relative power of the parties involved.

  • "The result is a segmented social structure. Finally, the Corporatist system is the product of a power structure in which a strong Federal Reserve System has ensured that socialist principles are well entrenched."

    October 30,2009

  • Although I agree with your comment on the Federal Reserve System, was it really necessary to quote yourself? Lmao.

  • You're a brainwashed fool who doesn't think for hisself. How is your grade school education working for you? How is your welfare check working out? Does it suck that you're still living with your parents?

  • Typical liberal response, throw some insults and run away.

    How about saying something intelligent?

  • Liberal you really don't know me, besides I was talking to mrmindless who is a liberal troll.
