I wanted to comment on a "wheelchair". I saw on this video that this wheelchair locates a little bit higher than Alera's body. Her spine was in sort of a S-shape: Alera back side is higher than her front part. Maybe your should lower it by adjusting a wheels higher and cutting shorter metal rods that carry wheels. Hope you understood that I meant.

It's amazing how this cat is still a cat. It has a diaper on and no use of its back legs and it is still a dignified animal that does not feel sorry for itself.

Great job, and very inspirational. More people need to take disabled animals into their lives, as so many are looked over in favor of "better" animals.

Watching the fit of the wheelchair to Alera, it could be improved by anchoring the front with a wheel, like a trycicle 3 wheel. this would give stability to the front of the wheelchair, and at the same time, taking off some of the weight she has to carry to keep the front end upright. She could still utilize her front legs, in tandem with the front wheel support. When her front legs tire, the wheel would support her. good luck. You are a blessing to the animals.

Just a suggestion, i think the cat is a little uncomfortable and slipping out of teh front becaus the weight of the chair is resting a bit far forward on his neck. it might be better for him if the weight was further back on his shoulders?

Also I think you said his bum is a bit to high up, I think you're right, but he'll need more support for his back legs so can lower the bum down without his legs hitting the floor.

Other than that it is great to see him getting around and stuff, its ace :D :D

Not sure if this is possible, because it could mean she would fall, but perhaps there is a way to still "perfect" her "wheelchair", so she can enjoy playing even more? (Though the older cats get, usually the less they play and the more they sleep.) But thank you for showing such kindness to animals and with it you create such happiness also for people. :-)

It is hard to see from the video, but usually you want the animals back to be level. To do this raise the wheels and cut some of the rod.

The Saddle maybe able to be lowered also. Seems like you have a happy animal.

You probrably have your answer to the shortening of the aluminum pole. Observing Alera I noticed her tail is dangling you may want to gently secure it along with it's limbs or if that will increase the probability of injury, somehow secure it into her diaper.
